The campground itself is a nice place if you have a campervan/motorhome: lovely trees, nice lawn, lots of ducks walking around. Toilets and showers were ok but showed some signs of age. Somewhat irritating: one toilet/shower block was closed (for whatever reason). What you have to know: you can't make a reservation (at least not for campervan site), they'll ask...

I stayed here for a contact course with some other students. The facilities were a little dated, but clean and tidy, perfect for low-budget accommodation. Wifi is not included, but you can pay for it.

What can I say, except the facility was clean, well presented and quiet, what more could one ask for? I stayed in one of the cabins, great value at $40 for the night. Bed was comfortable and I slept well. Hosts friendly on arrival and departure. Didn't use kitchen except to make coffee but looked to be well equipped. Lovely...

Never stayed here before, wouldn't allow me to check in without paying a $500 bond for the multiple nights and several people in our group that had been booked. No flexibility in allowing a split payment and made me pay full $1300 upfront even tho only needed one unit for the first night. Will be looking for alternative accommodation for...

This is a fine place to take our caravan, we went with our 6 year old and stayed 4 nights, she loved the play ground, the place is very old and basic but very clean, the Lido swimming complex and the esplanade gardens are right next door

This holiday park is in an excellent location, surrounded by mature trees and access to the adjacent tree-lined walking trails and impressive rose gardens. I loved the scenery as soon as I pulled in, and promptly went for a walk along the trail to the river - which I repeated again the next morning. The check-in was easy, the common...

We stayed 1 night at the Palmerston North Holiday Park on a powered site. We had a large motorhome and parking on the pitch was a little tight but with the hard standing it was a little easier to manoeuvre the vehicle. The facilities were a little restricted when we were there and one of the shower blocks had been...

When travelling down to wellington I made a one night stop over here. I had not been to Palmerston North before but the park was very easy to find. I just had a wee tent and car site which I had not prebooked but was quickly placed. all the facilities were clean and easily accessible. Helpful nice people at reception.

We stayed here overnight on our trip down from Auckland to Wellington with two adults and two children in a cabin. The cabin was fine and clean, and the amenities were good. Close to the botanical garden, still a bit of a drive from town. Recommended for short stays.
