The advertising and images on the website bear no resemblance to the actual hotel which is dated and tired, clearly with antiquated systems as it took 15 minutes to issue a small tour group ahead of us with their keys. The price of the hotel is clearly based on its website images, not the outdated ensemble that awaits. Also don't...

it you are wanting to stay in a hotel then this is not the place. It is a glorified motel. The day we arrived it was nearly empty so we were offered room service for breakfast, If you want a motel then I suppose this is satisfactory but we were expecting the facilities of a hotel and they are just...

Tired verging on exhausted rooms, disinterested staff, mediocre breakfast, caretakers dog goes for swims in the pool, virtually non-existent internet that can only be picked up in the entrance foyer at peak times and even then, iffy and in and out service. I left my room at 8.45pm to try to find an internet signal to find all but one...

the staff were very friendly however that is the best bit! The rooms were not ready at 5pm to check in, the restaurant didn't have enough tables, the food was average and very overpriced, the rooms were tired and the beds very worn out (long time since we had springs prod us when we moved!). There was no air conditioning...

We recently visited Wanganui for a family wedding. The motel we stayed in, recommended we dine across the road at the Kingsgate Hotel. So we walked across and dined in the Bistro Bar. There were about 6 other diners/drinkers in the bar. Our group of six ordered drinks, then we ordered our meals. We waited, weaited and waited. The place...

I stayed here for work. Ground floor room stepping back to the 60's/70's. Not enough plugs for computer etc. Got car lights from drive through bottle store in my room till they closed! Bathroom had previous guests personal rubbish still in it. Told reception who didn't appear phased at all. Breakfast was basic with expired yoghurt. Didn't bother telling reception...

Looks a lot more worn and tired than the website photos show. There is a new wing but the type of room we had booked was in the old area. The pluses are that the room was clean and hotel is quiet. It is in a central location with the bonus of being situated next to main supermarkets.

Not a bad place to stay. Not luxurious either. Had the basics but the layout and fittings in the rooms are a little outdated. Quiet around the pool and restaurant area that gave it a relaxing feel. Not sure I would stay again...

A little hard to find and on a really busy road a little out Of town centre. Very 70s feel inside the room but it was big and we had a balcony. Room was quiet and bed comfy. Bathroom had been modernised. Good breakfast.

We booked a room here for a family of five. Room was a decent size, could do with an update but it was clean and suited us fine for one night. Staff friendly enough as well. It was quiet which was nice. Would suit people who are not too fussy about the look of the place.
