I staid with a girlfriend for four nights. This hotel is centrally located but has an eccentric owner. He has a lot of rubbish just outside next to the reception area. No info leaflets at all. We were only allocated 2 GB of WiFi for four days. This was cut off on day four. We only searched the internet for...

Took a 3 room unit here.Reasonably priced clean and comfortable. Not much in the way of supervision of occupants. I would guess some could have been placed there by the local council as temporary accommodation for the homeless.

We stayed here for 1 night with 4 other families with kids, mostly pre-school aged. The place is old, like 60's/70's original, but immaculate! I don't know how you keep a place so well. I've stayed at places costing many time more per night that weren't this clean. Spotless. The pool is huge, and isn't all chlorine-stinky. We were really...

On checking in, we were greeted by our very friendly host, then with milk bottle in hand we headed to unit 36. This was in the 3rd set of buildings up on the hill so we had a excellent views. The often used term is 'park like' and in this case it is very true. Set on a huge plot...

We stayed in room 35, we were up on a small hill and we had nice view to the east and to the south. The room was clean with kitchenette and a balcony. We booked for one night at first, but stayed for 5 nights at the end. It is in a very good location and a good base to...

The bed was comfortable and the location was good but there were only 3 channels on TV to choose from, as we are older traveler and don't go out at night TV is important and the heating was inadequate. The unit over all was worn .

We stayed here over Waitangi weekend and would summarise the stay as enjoyable, if slightly no thrills. Positive include friendly staff, clean rooms, a cheap nightly rate and a location within good distance of the Whangarei CBD. Cons would be the lack of free wifi, you get one free hour, after-which a charge applies. Given the reliance on wifi in...

Friendly and cooperative owners. Rooms have well equipped kitchenettes with all appliances, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. Generous supply of coffee, tea, drinking chocolate is provided. Basic groceries can be purchased from stores less than 15 minutes walk. Room Nos. 38 & 39 appear larger but are close to the Highway and can get noisy if windows are left open....
