AMAZING communal kitchen VERY well organised and regularly cleaned by the staff who were mostly backpackers travelling through. it was a pleasure to come home to this...

Lol Bed room is cool, those each of beds have individual light and a power plug which was really helpful. However, during the night was soo cold. There...

Bathrooms were pretty typical, beds were fairly comfy, location was ok, no wifi in the rooms (lobby only). Don't trust google directions, just look at the map to get there! The living area was very relaxing and the art work was great!

This is a place of the best category. Not one of those that do the job, not one of the great places but one of the few ones you remember a lifetime. Even campers with a campervan of tent can stay here. You can see that the owners have put their love in every little detail and enable travelers to...

Sadly Greymouth was pretty rainy and grey on our visit here, but this hostel was nice and warm and accommodating. The room was nice, warm, spacious and clean (our sheets smelled great) and the kitchen facilities were nice. The free wifi codes were a bonus too. The staff were helpful and friendly, more than happy to help us out with...

We got picked up from the train station and taken to the hostel and also Russell helped us with some paperwork we needed for our travels. All the facilities you could wish for are at this hostel, the...

We stayed there for one night 2 months ago as we were biking the south island. We went through the different backpackers in town, and this one was the best! Very colourful and pleasant atmosphere. The rooms are great and make you feel like you are travelling the world. There is a nice garden along the river and you can...

There's not much to do in Greymouth, it's more a stop before Paparoa or Nelson but this hostel well worth staying in! It's filled with sculptures, paintings, memorabilia from different countries around the world, heaps of maps. The room are really comfortable and for good value. Everything feels very homey and modern. Staff is awesome too, helpful and kind. It...

Stayed there the first time in 2006 and then several times after that. We thought it was great then, but never reviewed it. Now it's 2015 and stayed there again. I thought for sure it would have aged and deteriorated. Not so. It is still as clean and welcoming as it was many years ago. It is the most quiet,...
