From the moment we arrived we were sure that this was going to be a great visit & we were not disappointed. With a Luxury experience it often comes with a lot of formality & a degree of uncertainty
But we were set at ease...More
The rooms are architecturally elegant and designed with detailed finishes and beautifully handcrafted furniture. Breathtaking views of the mountains! The Tree houses have views of both the mountains and the ocean. We didn't get the chance to stay in a treehouse as they were booked,...More
My childhood dream has finally come true! I have spent a night in a tree house. It was truly magic, better than in my dreams, as a matter of fact. The tree houses are very tastefully appointed, with all the sweet touches that make someone’s...More

There is also very positive news that the main state highway south of Kaikoura (SH1) is likely to be opened before the 20th December.
You could also look at taking a helicopter or fixed wing flight in and out. I can highly recommend this as a way to see the coastline, and is a wonderful experience. Hapuku are offering a significant subsidies for this as I am aware it can be expensive. Trailfinders should be able to give you the full information on this, let me know if they cannot. If you have car hire I am sure they can look at changing it around. It is not like you need it at Bay of Many Coves anyway, and they have a helipad.
