On our way to christchurch, we were both getting pretty tired so decided to stop in Kaikoura. The town was pretty quiet. This was around 10pm at night. Stopped at one motel that had vacancy sign up, lights out and doors locked. As we had stayed at"the waterfront",we were hoping that they had room. The office light was on so we...

My friends and I had travelled on a road trip from North Island to South Island for two weeks. Waterfront was definitely the most best apartment throughout our journey. We did a jog to the Seal Colony and the view was spectacular.

Our apartment had a lovely sea view from the balcony, but unfortunately the bed was cold with hard pillows so not a great nights sleep. The kitchen was well equipped, compact laundry facilities in a cupboard which could not close due to the washing machine.

Stunning! Came into Kaikoura late & with nothing booked, Mandy was so accommodating & friendly! Lots of suggestions on where to eat & local attractions. Room was large & right on the beachfront, very comfortable bed & the bath was lovely & deep. VERY clean. We will definitely be back 😀

To a large degree this review is based on the unit we had. We were greeted by a very cheerful and friendly hostess, had very quick check in, and were given a map of the area .The map was explained to us and lots of notes made about recommended attractions, restaurants (incl types of food available ) etc. This was...

This is a fabulous place to visit and these apartments are a great place to stay. The apartments have all the amenities you could want and are really comfortable with great views. Try the whale watching trip - amazing! There are loads of other places to see and loads of activities to do especially if you like watersports. If you...

We stayed a couple nights here and enjoyed our stay. The rooms themselves are fully contained apartments, so this was a nice change from a hotel since it has a full kitchen and laundry. The apt was clean, family that runs it very nice and just across the street from the main beach. On the downside, out the back of...

Why motels place themselves under speciality lodging on trip adviser is beyond me, this explains why I cant find them when trying to review. We just drove from the Ferry crossing and drove down the esplanade and this place looked great, I went in and Mandy was very helpful, showed me different units at different prices, and we were very...
