The Northstar is a great motel in oamaru. It is on the main road into Oamaru coming in from the north. When you open the door you are greeted by a huge room with a king bed, a sitting area, a kitchenette and a large toilet/shower/walk in robe. The beds are very comfortable and despite being on the main road...

We stayed here on saturday night and we were more than happy. Had everything we needed. Was so clean, tidy, and warm. And the staff were very friendly and helpful. I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again in future. So quiet and relaxing too. Beds were comfortable, slept very well.

I stayed here for a weekend and it was really nice, the room was large had a kitchenette and amazing bathroom. The downside for me was how the motel was set up. though i liked the features, the restaurant and bar + a bottle store! that was handy. I think it would be perfect in the winter time, it was...

My husband and I stayed at Northstar for one night but could of stayed longer. We found the room very tidy, spacious and with lovely modern decor. The complex is very quiet even on a Saturday night with a restaurant/pub at the front. The layout of the Superior Unit is wonderful with the room divider which creates zones to chill...

We arrived on a cold night after dark and the staff had thoughtfully turned the heater on, which was well received. Lady on reception friendly & very thoughful. Location is on the north side and quite a way from Central Oamaru Unit was clean & price for family of four was cheap. Only a hour of free wifi, which is...

Turned up, very last minute on a busy night (rugby game), big campervans, but lady at the front (Shirley) was still very accommodating. Went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable. Very child friendly, spacious rooms. Couldn't be happier with how we were treated and how the rooms were. Thanks Shirley!

Stayed one night, passing through. The woman working in the office was absolutely horrible and rude - both when we checked in and checked out so it seemed more of a bad life than a bad day... That said, the rooms were really excellent - super comfy - lots of space - nice facilities, fully equiped kitchen - good, powerful,...

Stayed here in February for work. Rooms are a generous size and include a lounge area to watch TV rather than having to lye on a bed. Nice and quiet and modern. Restaurant downstairs is also very nice and great food. Would definitely recommend
