I was in China for 5 weeks and as soon as I checked into Eden Gardens, it was like being straight back in China, the shiny cream tiles, dark fake wood colour on the furniture and the hard as hard can be beds. The hastily renovated bathrooms that haven't been planned out. We had a double room with bathroom in...

Lovely inside looks a tad dated outside as you drive up but inside is great! Nice people running it. Some peoples saying can only get Chinese TV but if you ask at the desk they will show you you how to get NZ English tv. When people say the bed was hard, well that's a understatement, i think the concrete...

Strange motel in ex hospital building. We couldn't get anything but chinese TV stations. Cat is housed in old box at the front door to greet you. Nice communal room where you can make yourself a cuppa and sit at tables. No view from our room next to the front door. Good value and very firm beds. Quiet nights sleep.

If you want a firm bed and complete quiet, look no further. It's totally clean and modern too. You do need to get over the oddness of this place. It's out of the way and up the hill. It's an old hospital wing that's been converted. They could probably steam punk it up, run murder mystery weekends and charge double....

This hotel is up the hill so not a quick walk to the main street. However the view from up there is lovely! It is an older style hotel, reminiscent of a glorious past. The rooms are clean and the bedding is good quality. The bathroom is decent too. There is a breakfast and lounge area to relax in too.

This place is so tight the light bulbs fail to light the room..the shower water dribbles out like an old man peeing..the place has no staff on.. you have to ring a cell phone and they drive over..But the real problem was finding no mattress on the bed base. Skip this place if you want to sleep..the web site rate...

I think I was the only one there. There was no atmosphere. After I checked in there was no one on front counter the rest of the stay. I had to call someone on their mobile to get an iron and ironing board - the iron was full of mould so I couldn't use it. No GST receipt available. No...
