Four hammocks outback by the barbecue which lives next to the foosball table and herb garden. Bike barn with plenty of bikes for guests to use for free. A friendly cat that will cuddle with you until it want to sit below the fruit trees. Kitchen with generous amounts of free bread slices and some instant coffee. Board game and...

The bedroom and bathroom are really clean, which is really important to me. The bed was comfortable and cosy. The double bedroom was quite spacious. The free breakfast on the morning was a simple, but delicious range of fresh breads with spreads. It is a 5 minute drive to town and 1 hour drive to Abel Tasman. There is a...

We loved this place, very laid back and a great environment. Free breakfast is amazing. Really quiet little place and so chilled out, all guests very respectful of each other. Rooms, clean, today and tastefully decorated and such a reasonable price!

Backpackers was average but adequate. The rooms were quaint and the facilities were average. The staff could have been more friendly and accomodating especially considering we were told in no uncertain terms to keep our noise down early in the night (around 9) which we respected, only to be kept awake by others loitering outside our rooms in the early...

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and all our questions about the area answered. The location is slightly away from the center of Nelson (1.5 km to be exact) but it's a short ride with the bikes provided for free or your car. The room was nicely decorated, clean and well equipped (yay for multiple power outlets). The rest of...

Were going kayaking at 7am the next day so just needed somewhere to lay our heads. Pretty small place. Had double room and it was nicely presented with towels and chocolates. Nice hot showers. Owners very friendly and helpful. Only bummer is that it is a 20 minute walk from town.

Great and homely backpacker in beautiful Nelson! Stayed here 3 years ago and decided to bring my family this time. Although the owners have changed but the service quality is the same or even better! Free bikes, free pick ups from town and free bread every morning! What more can you ask for! We absolutely loved our stay here. Not...

Very clean hostel with a great atmosphere. Stayed in one of the double rooms before visiting the Abel Tasman National Park. The room was great value for money. The kitchen had all you need for cooking your meals. Breakfast is more than you can ask for in a hostel. Also the staff is so friendly. I would definitely stay here...
