We stayed in the Paris Room which has its own bathroom. We loved the place. Comfy, tidy, modern, a generous sized room and a reasonable price. The shared kitchen has some free things for you to use and the staff were friendly.

Me and my partner enjoyed our 3 night stay here at the bug! One of the best hostels we've stayed in so far and would highly recommend it to anyone trying to avoid the 'party hostel' scene. Although it's facilities are not brand new or modern, it's exceptionally clean and the beds were comfortable. Upon arrival, Richard was friendly and...

Kitchen and showers are fully equipped and clean. Definitely recommend this place for each type of visit! Hostel also provides basic breakfast supplies, shuttles into town...

The Bug was exceptional. We stayed in the studio. It was separate from the dorms with our own little patio and picnic table. The unit had a large comfortable bed, a fully equipped kitchen with full sized appliances, a breakfast bar, living area with couches and chairs in good condition. A washing machine was available and lots of clothes lines...

Clean accom, good feel Volkswagen bug theme, brightly coloured, comfortable stay, well frequented. Booking easy over the phone, bedrooms small (of course), large kitchen with all utensils and cutlery, tea and coffee. Clean toilets and showers, outdoor area facing west catching the afternoon sun. Basic breakfast supplies available.

Carefull! You have to leave the place completely by 10am. Not only the room. The rest was lovely but Richard from the staff ruined it for us. Quite a shame because the rest is nice. Hammocks, Rooms, fast internet. Maybe they will change their policy. It's a shame for such a nice place to have such a bad policy.

Loved our stay at Bugs Backpackers. The late check in system was easy and smooth; the rooms were immaculate; the beds were comfortable; the kitchen was well equipped, modern and clean; the outdoor area was incredibly appealing and the hostel manager was incredibly helpful. I will certainly be back here and wouldn't even consider another hostel. Highly recommended!

There is a nice garden where you can hang out or eat your dinner. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere and the owner is very nice and helpful. I would definitely...

Comfortable beds, free Wi-Fi, fully furnished kitchen, free parking, and a decent price. We had a very nice stay here after hiking Abel Tasman and relaxed in the hammocks spread throughout the place in the nice atmosphere. The owner even gave us a dinner recommendation to a very good Thai place and had fresh bread and boston buns in the...
