What a gem! Stunning views, an enthusiastic, helpful and friendly host, cows, sheep, an excitable goat, dogs and an ugly pig! Value for money, and not too far from Nelson. Would definitely recommend! It's a quintessential kiwi experience...

Every morning I looked out on the Tasman Bay toward Abel Tasman and thought, "This is ridiculous! I'm so fortunate." The view is world class, but I felt so at ease because the people were so nice and we could feed our food scraps to the Kuni Kuni pig. Weird, I know, but we just loved it there. Another aspect...

The horizon dividing the sky and the sea is the first thing you see through window when you wake up in the morning and open your eyes. After that, when you sit in your bed, you’ll see another line, dividing the green grass and the morning sea. Get up, make yourself a coffee and go onto the deck to share...

My husband and I stayed at Sunshine Cottage for 4 nights of March 19 - 22, 2014. Lovely and simple cottage, with a beautiful view of the ocean on top of a hill. We enjoyed our meals on the decking looking across the waters towards the city. Sue and Mike were great hosts, with simple touches of a "welcome note"...

We are just back from a weekend in nelson and feel so happy to have found this wonderful accommodation. The views are the best I have EVER seen, quite breath taking. I only wish we could have stayed longer as we were just getting into life 'up a hill'. A great place for little ones too as so much to...

I could run out of superlatives to describe our two-night stay here but the main theme is this was the best place we stayed on our 22-day circle of the South Island. So quiet and peaceful, top-of-the-mountain views, comfortable with everything you need for self contained cooking and relaxing, and the famil who owns it could not have been nicer...

We had an amazing stay at the Sun Top cottage. The views were breath taking. The cottage itself was beautiful, large, cosy, private, quiet and well furnished with incredible views of the city and the sea. The hosts Sue and Rachel were warm, friendly and extremely helpful. Nelson that has the maximum number of sunny days in all of NZ was having...

We had been wanting to stay here for awhile and it was no let down, great views all round. We stayed in Meg's Cottage and it was well equipped with everything, though soon it will need a bigger heater coming into winter. Wifi was good and we would gladly stay again, hosts nice and friendly

What a beautiful and peaceful place. Staying on this family farm was more relaxing then I could ever imaged. Overlooking the lambs grazing while watching the sun set on the water. It lowers my blood pressure just thinking of it!

My husband and I stayed in Sunshine Cottage for five nights and the experience will remain a highpoint of our two month trip in NZ. Others have written of the farm and the steep road in, so I will address the Sunshine Cottage. This older cottage is set apart from the other cottages and from the owners' houses, so it...
