We stayed in Nelson Palms Motel for a week. We were welcomed before we got there by a phone call checking what time we would arrive and we were allowed to check in early. The one bed roomed apartment was generous in size, comfortable, modern and one of the cleanest we have stayed in. The room was thoroughly cleaned daily...

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly. The bath products are lovely. Little kitchen with everything we needed. Location is amazing with an easy walk to town and a Countdown right across the street. Day trips to Abel Tasman and farewell spit (do the horseback riding!!) We were fortunate enough to be here on a Saturday and...

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment. Very nicely decorated with good facilities. Wonderful bathroom with good shower and big spa bath. Fantastic location. Staff also very friendly and accommodating. They kindly stored our suitcase for five days while we went off to do a tramp in Abel tasman. Good value for money. Would stay again.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it is a Goliath for it punches above its weight and size. The salient points to note are 1) Excellent Location whether you fly or drive into Nelson it is pretty much a straight drive onto Rutherford Street and at the end across the road is the motel. It has Countdown bang opposite...

The palms is in a great location in nelson. Close to shops and next to a supermarket. Not close to the beach (probably 10 min drive). Very clean and tidy. Bed was really uncomfortable though. Also be aware the luxury 1 bed units have queen size beds, not kings. showers are also a little tricky getting in and out of....

We stayed in this motel for one night. The check in is very efficient and is close to the bus terminal, and the city centre. Next to the motel there is a supermarket. The accomodation was first class, extremely clean with great facilities. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Needing a place to recover after a lengthy journey to New Zealand, we were able to recover in premises travellers require. Comfortable beds and quietness. On further visits to Nelson it will be our first stop.

We cycled the Great Taste Trail with Trail Journeys (see related review) and our trip was bookended with a stay at Palms Nelson. The rooms are well-appointed with a small functional kitchenette & comfortable beds. The best features of the motel are the location (central to Nelson shopping & plenty of cafes and directly opposite a supermarket) and the service...
