I'll start by saying the Staff were friendly. That is about all the positives that I can say about this place. It was old, smelt terrible, my room wasn't properly cleaned everyday and the internet was worse than dial up. This is the worst place I have stayed in New Zealand. It wasn't a choice to stay there as work... More

This Hotel is in need of major remodelling - it's classic 1980's, making it very out dated. Room was clean and okay but overpriced for its aged condition and amenities, or lack of. Ate at the on-site restaurant but can not recommend eating here as totally and utterly overpriced for the lack-luster meals, very disappointing. There is no available EFTPOS... More

It was a bit old for our liking, The pork chops we had for dinner were a bit overdone and pricey. The heater in the room was struggling to warm the room. The staff were lovely and helpful. maybe we were just spoilt from previous places we had stayed at.

It was mid winter and the heater kept turning off every 20 minutes. On repeated requests I was given a tiddly spare heater that doesn't even warm itself. I kept steering the room heater whole night and still got my 7 year old girl sick in the morning. Runied my holiday. THe bathrooms were filthy and the service was rude... More

Rooms are very basic, reasonably clean with TV AND WI-FI.Poolside rooms are a bit more pleasant and a little quieter unless lots of kids using it. Centrally situated for shopping and attraction or travel between 20 mins to The mountain for stunning, panoramic views of Hawks Bay, the coast and the Craggy ranges. The Historic town of Napier is half... More

Staff and food pretty damn good but the building and rooms well past use by date. Value for money argument - not really. I also had a large roach run out of my strides as I put them on which was the camel back straw that prompted this review . Sorry owners but pls consider redevelopment.

This hotel is in urgent need of being modernised and refreshed. There was no air-conditioning in our room which was hot. Opening a window was not a good option because of nearby road noise. The breakfast, for which we paid as part of the overall price was basic and strictly controlled: you could have fruit juice or a coffee/tea, but... More

Can't really complain too much as the price was very reasonable. The room was servicable, I didn't like the patio windows as they didn't feel secure. We didn'tuse the bath as it didn't look very nice. The towels were quite threadbare and not as white as they could have been. Parking was plentiful. This is probably a hotel used by... More

Hotel is generally clean but very dated. It is easy to find and there is plenty of off street parking. The guest laundry is pretty rough and sadly I had some of my laundry stolen, the laundry is out of the way and has no security/supervision. Staff are friendly

The heater turns off every 35 minutes, so we had to keep turning it on all night. My 7 yr old daughter caught such a bad cold that we had to take her to a GP in the morning. Going to GP where you're not registered will cost you around $60. The rooms were horrible and dirty. We were promised... More
