I stayed in Annie's Cottage for a week at the end of November, 2014 during my first visit to New Zealand. The cottage is perfect for a family visit and named for the famous "Gentle Annie" road winding from Hastings to Taihape and is one of two properties available on the farm. It is relatively close to the 100+ year...

A friend and I stayed a few nights at Annies cottage and had some great fishing on the river that runs through the farm. Unfortunately on the second day we were out on the river when a storm roared in and turned the rivers unfishable. But the accommodation was very good and Kirsty went out or her way to make...

The location was picturesque and exactly what we were looking for however I had specifically asked about the fire when booking and when we got there we only had 4 pieces of wood for a romantic winter weekend by the fire which was our first disappointment then we started calling to try and book a farm tour which we were...

The quaint cottage was located in a beautiful and tranquil location. We especially enjoyed early morning breakfast on the veranda listening to the spectacular Dawn Chorus --- this was one of the highlights of our stay in New Zealand. We would also recommend the excellent dinner served by our hosts --- the ingredients produced on the farm.

This was the ONLY trip while living in NZ we regretted having booked. We initially booked it because the neighbors had horseback riding, but that turned out to have been previously. The cabin was fine. The owners were friendly but very busy, not much time for information or involvement. The gorges on the farm where trashed with old furniture and...

I am sorry for that. Life on the farm has...

We enjoyed the farm house. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. The home was nicely furnished and our bed was comfortable. The fly fishing was terrific. We were close to many adventures nearby.

We are Napier residents and have stayed at Annie's Cottage for multiple visits. It is a 45 minute trip into the countryside, is remote and peaceful which is why we go back. We have always found everything clean and prepared for guests. It is well equipped but it is isolated and therefore you need to take all food supplies, medicines...

A delightful night was had by lovely warm cottage, all nice fire in the kitchen that gave out plenty of heat. Beautiful setting a must to return. Lovely area to walk and explore, room for children to have a run around.
