This place is perfect for those who want to experience adventure. Despite the bittersweet nature, this experience was one of the most memorable in my life. I recommend this only to those who want to have such an experience. thanks to all staff & others.

The worst experience we ever had in a Sri Lankan hotel. We went to this hotel on 14th May and it was a freezing cold climate with a heavy rain. The road was bumpy and slippery and it was not easy to reach the hotel. It took us more than 45 mins to climb up that mountain road for 3 km. Once we reached to the hotel, there was nobody to co-ordinate us and show our rooms. They had rooms for 7000 something and 5000 something. When we asked the difference between these two room types, they said 7000 room was good. We had four guests, my father, brother, my husband and myself. So I asked my husband to book 7000 room thinking it will be better than the 5000 one. So when we parked the car at front, nobody told us where our room was, and there was one person, I think a room boy, told us our rooms are in upper level where we had to carry our luggage's by climbing more than 30 slippery stairs. So my husband, brother and father brought the luggages to that level in the heavy rain and once they went that level, they were asked to go to below level where we parked our car. (Saying 7000 rooms are in below level) I don't get why they couldn't say that before all the luggages are brought to upper level. So that was it and we had to bring the bags to the lower level again where the car park was. Once we go to the rooms what I noticed first was the molded callings and not so clean and very basic bathroom which is not acceptable for this price. And the water was coming in the shower as it is coming from a pipe. Main thing to point out here is, the hot water was not coming in the shower so we had to call the manager. So he sent someone to fix it. So that person went to upper level and turned on a switch or something in the geyser and asked us to wait for 30 mins. So we waited for more than 30 mins, still the hot water was not coming. When we called to book this hotel, that's the first thing we asked, because we are not used to this cold climate and it was a must for us to have hot water. So again we called and someone came and did something to the geyser and asked us to wait another 30 mins. We were waiting and there is still no hot water, so my husband went to see the manager. It took long time for him to come out and talk with my husband. He was not sorry and did not suggest anything that we have to do as he should. The only option we had was to leave this place since they don't respect the guests. If they think about guests, before we arrive, they should have fixed or turn on the geezer and welcome us and show the correct rooms for us. In other hotels, room boy bring our luggages to the room, here there is no one we have to bring it by ourself. It was around 5pm that we left the hotel in that small slippery road. If you are coming on your own vehicle, don't even think of going there, or you will regret it. Specially don't come with more than 2 ppl. If you expect hospitality as in other hotels, please reconsider coming here. If you are not used to cold climate and expect the hot water, please think twice.

The road to the location was in terrible condition. The management is money hungry and charged for extra than the initial amount. The bathrooms were terrible and the food was not at all good. We were given only one water bottle for a 4 person room. There was no wifi facilties available and very bad telephone reception. The road to the place was in terrible condition the management did not inform any of this matter when making the booking. Definitely do not recommend this place to anyone.

We did not receive actual quality of the place. Only we were satisfied with the location. Dissapointed on: customer service / accomodations/ food (we did not receive any dessert for 2 days.) Food they provided were really dissapointed. We felt it like homemade food, not quality as other hotels and resorts. They did not even provide water. They provided only one bottle for double room. Extra bottles were charged and we had to get them from cafeteria. No service. No ☎ line works in the rooms. Really dissapointed about bath rooms because they didnt provide any hot water facilities. No locks for the bath room doors. No TV. No signals. We couldn't take a call or send a message. Even couldnt log in to the internet. More importantly service providers in the cafeteria always wanted to argue with us. They didnt even think about the customers. Other thing was, even drivers had to book a room. They did not provide accomodation for drivers.

A location with a breathtaking view overlooking the untouched green mountains coupled with the cool climate and a silence that deserves 5/5. Sadly, the poorly maintained place and money oriented staff does not do justice to it. No value additions or client service. Some staff were very rude. But when offered money, things changed. Everything from building to doors to ceilings to chairs are old and ready to breakdown. No variation in food. Practically ate the same thing for 2 days. Money hungry management has idea what customer care means.

Room was dirty, very unhygienic with doors broken smelly and bathrooms were never cleaned. We had previous guest underwear in the washroom whcih indicated nothing was cleaned. Best part is the soap, as they kept a half used one in there. Food was terrible and not worth the amount which is paid. 7500 per FB basis were taken and we were service 100 rupees worth of meal kind of food both days back to back. Morning coffee and tea was extra charged. Only thing the place was with a nice view, nothing else.

We went there with for full board basis per night with group of friends. The view from the hotel, mountains with clouds and mistry no word to explain that feeling. There foods was absolutely authentic taste of Sri Lankan not only for name. There have few things to improve like a Bar and facility of the room. The returns we got there higher than our expectation.
