Stayed on a Travelzoo package which was very good value although they did charge us twice and took a little while to sort out. We were in the Brookside room which is a small double. Huge bathroom and large walk in shower. Large wardrobe but only six hangers! We did have to ask them to put the heating on when...

We stayed for two nights as part of a Travelzoo deal. For the price paid (£109) we felt the stay as a whole was good value for our family of three. It's set in beautiful grounds and just a 30 minute drive from Lyme Regis - one of our favourite stop-offs en route to the West Country. We stayed in...

We stayed here as part of our 25th wedding anniversary celebrations and as a result the hotel kindly upgraded us by booking us into the Bridal Suite! The accommodation was great and very comfortable. We had breakfast on two mornings which was fine. We will certainly return here again in the future.

I'm a member of South Somerset Choral Society and we held our 50th Anniversary Concert (Bach's Mass in B Minor) in the Tithe Barn. Minnie, one of the partners at Haselbury Mill, could not have been more helpful in making sure that everything went well from arranging the 400 seats for the audience, choir and orchestra to making sure we...

We recently had our evening Wedding Party here. We totally booked out every room in the hotel and one group of our guests stayed in the Showman's 5 bed van. All the accommodation was excellent. The Tithe Barn looked fantastic laid up for our 150 guests. We choose the Hog Roast Meal which was so delicious. The whole experience from...

We recently visited as a friend got married at the venue. We stayed in one of the coach houses. On arrival, the staff were very friendly and happy to accommodate us before the formal check in time so we could get changed after a long drive. The room was spacious and very well presented with a great sized shower room....

I booked a 2 night stay through Travelzoo, but more of that later. We were fortunate to have a chat with the bearded owner, I never did get his name but a delightful fascinating man who clearly has a fondness for all things motorised. Dotted around the grounds are various old cars, 3 old Daimler landau limousines and various others...

Wonderful place to enjoy a family meal. Our party of 12 enjoyed a pre lunch drink in the beautiful garden before being seated in the bar area with our small dog. Staff were great, food from the fixed lunch menu was great value and just right for the occasion and also enjoyed a couple of very nice local beers. Superb...

We stayed for 2 nights on 26 & 27 March. First night hardly slept. The mattress was Lumpy with springs felt through the fabric. The next day we were moved to another room where the bed was very hard. The experience ruined our break to the west Country. I must also mention that the restaurant menu was very limited. We...

My sisters and I booked afternoon tea for Mothering Sunday as a gift for our mother. There was so little food I was embarrassed to have recommended Haslebury Mill to my family. We spent £84 on two pots of tea, a few finger sandwiches and a small selection of tiny cakes. Furthermore, despite both of my sisters emailing the mill...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Often described as “Probably the most beautiful setting in the South West of England” The original buildings date back many centuries and are of great local interest with a history stretching back to the times of William the Conqueror and are reportedly mentioned in the Doomsday Book. Haselbury Mill is truly the ultimate somerset venue to commemorate and celebrate the special days in your life. The three magnificent listed buildings & newly built Tithe Barn provide the focus of this superb conference, restaurant, hotel & wedding facility. The Georgian Mill owner’s house & adjacent cottages have been transformed into a luxuriously appointed 21-bedroom hotel all with High Speed Wi-Fi Internet connection. All rooms are en-suite and are exquisitely appointed to add that little touch of luxury to the beautiful surroundings. The original Mill buildings have been sympathetically converted to a stylish restaurant and underneath can be found a traditional local's bar with flag stone floors and oak panelled walls. The Four storey Granary building nearby encompasses a lakeside bar and restaurant and further function and conference rooms ... more   less
