It's a pretty decent hostel. There's a nice little pool and the kitchen seemed pretty good when I was in there. It's in a really good place, it's a minute or two away from the Woolworth's and there's a lot of restaurants and cafes around it. The wifi is free and there is a paid option as well. The free...

We spent 4 nights at Airlie Beach recently. We did a sailing tour which was good. There is a question of the tour operators green credentials. Boats are allowed to dispose of sewerage away from reefs, in the passage between islands. Effluent could be seen floating on the surface and the the water quality/ visibility was very poor. There are...

Very good location in terms of bars, restaurants and the greyhound stop. Facilities were good and clean and we were allowed to store our luggage for free. The staff were helpful. However there was not enough plug sockets in the room and the sheets could have been cleaner. Also don't think it's reasonable to have to pay for a shower...

This YHA is very old compared to all other YHA's I stayed at. If you are looking for a quiet hostel this is a good one, most hostels in Airlie are party hostels. Kitchen is open all night. Friendly staff and luggage room for 5 dollars when you go on your Whitsunday trip. Rooms have a balcony and big bathrooms....

We lived in a female six-share room with private bathroom. The bathroom was not very clean and the trash bin in the toilet smelled like it wasn't taken out for more than a week. We had a very nice balcony that faced the inner yard. The bed sheets were doubtfully clean and not very fresh. The kitchen was very nice,...

My friend and I thought the whole hostel was dated, especially the rooms/bathrooms. The reception area is tiny but the staff were very friendly and helpful when we were booking our Whitsundays day tour. The hostel was quiet when we visited, we didn't use the kitchen facilities but they looked good! The storage for luggage was handy and ideal due...

Stayed for a couple of nights in an 8 person dorm. Room was nice and big - had been worried we'd all be crammed in. Everyone had their own locker which is nice and not always provided (in our experience). Also, an ensuite is always a bonus as opposed to communal washrooms. Clean rooms too. My only gripe is yes...

Being in my late 20's, my friend & I were worried that we might be too old for the hostel life but we loved our 3 night stay at the YHA. We paid for a private twin room, which was spotless. Complimentary towels & soap were also included & a massive help. Great location because it's just at the end...

Very central and very good! A little expensive but the air con is really good and so are the showers. Love that you get a towel on the bed which is very helpful! Spent 2 nights here and I must say a thoroughly enjoyed it! Great thing also is the pool which is also great!

My partner and I booked this hostel last minute, as we realised we would need somewhere to stay the night prior to our 2 day/2 night Whitsunday trip. We booked YHA as it was reasonable price and good location, hadn't really done our homework on it so just turned up blind. This was the first hostel we have stayed in...
