Booked this hotel as part of my Accor plus membership. I had been hounded for days by a sales woman to pick up this membership however when we got to the hotel and shown our membership card an eyelid was not battered. We were not offered any of the benefits and when asked we were told sorry there is no longer a restaurant or bar here Exactly the same happened at the hotel we were transferred to after the fire.We had to request the daily room service (advertised as daily on the Accor site +) due to staffing restrictions they said this was not possible. (Accor please change your advertising to adjust peoples expectations). On first appearance is the room was very clean it was an exceptional size and we enjoyed the Chatswood area discovering the various restaurants close to all transport. The pool was lovely. However the bedlinen had holes in it the dishwasher was filthy to the point that we didn’t use it as was the oven. However this all faded into insignificance After there was a fire and we were all evacuated and moved to other hotels. The staff managed the crisis in a professional manner and Organised alternative accommodation (although not what we would’ve chosen ourselves) it was sorted with ease including offer of taxis.
We had similar issues at the hotel we moved to including no restaurant no availability for breakfast no automatic room service.
Definitely a family break full of unexpected adventure. Mantra handled the crisis well but they definitely need to work on the Accor plus program and what they advertise as included in their rooms rates and rewards program membership.

It's become routine for hotels to take a card imprint for incidentals/mini bar and the same is true at the Mantra - but it's n this hotel's case they take a $50 pending transaction.
No if's. No buts. Even if your accommodation is booked and paid for. It's for "incidentals" apparently.
The foyer is neat and tidy but when you get to the accommodation floors you're hit with that apartment living smell of too much cooking in small rooms with little ventilation.
Rooms are comfortable and you can open the doors / windows if you want the constant hum of trains.
Once settled you might feel like a wine or beer or softie ... one of those incidentals for which you've laid down a $50.
Thing is the fridge and mini bar is bare!
Turns out the incidentals are not incidentals- it's a bond. In case you damage the room. Turns out the Mantra is host to guests who damage their rooms and deposit is non negotiable. Actually if you didn't have a credit card with you you'd be refused your prepaid room.
Welcome weary traveller.
No dine in menu, no breakfast bar. This is basic level Accor. Don't waste your free night here!

This was my second stay in Mantra Chatswood, and I picked it again for it's convenient location close to Chatswood Train Station and the extensive food options within walking distance.

The studio room was clean, and included all of the advertised amentities including an ironing board, small kitchenette, and laundry facilities. The welcome amenity (for Accor Status) being in the room on arrival was a nice touch. Wifi was fast and reliable. The only feedback would be to have a second bin available, not just the tiny one in the bathroom, given the room was only serviced once during a week long stay.

Car parking was a bit haphazard. It took three attempts to find a supposedly "available" spot after check-in. This involved multiple trips to and from reception to find a parking space number that was actually empty... During the week, the allocated parking spot was occupied by an inconsiderate "individual" (driving a black Ford Explorer Ute), and this required further time wasting going to and from reception to find another supposedly "available" space. Whilst there were carpark cameras in use (and visible from reception), the parking space allocation system simply did not meet expectations.

Overall, a pleasant (but not memorable) stay. Thank you.

Paid $1.3k+ for 7 nights, expecting that would include housekeeping, but the hotel refused to honour and insisted we paid extra for housekeeping. At the time of checkin, the price on Agoda was $900+ for the exact duration and days of our stay. Agoda was great and agreed to compensate for housekeeping fees, but Mantra was crap all the way. Even though we agreed to pay for full service every day of our stay, they failed to come on some days and gave a sloppy cleanup on some days, e.g. loaded the dishes into the dishwasher and then never removed them and put them back on the shelf. Very disappointing, the location is good tho so if you wanna stay here book, last minute! Don’t let them rip you off

My wife and I stayed here in December 2019 to January 2020, in the totally refurbished apartments.
The apartment had everything that you needed, from washing machine, tumble dryer, dish washer, oven and microwave, ironing board and iron, hair dryer, wide screen TV in both the living room and bedroom, superb modern air conditioning controls, very efficient.
Large grand size bed, plenty of wardrobe space and shelves
So comfortable living space.
We also had a full breakfast included too.

The reception staff were so helpful and efficient and friendly as were the breakfast staff.
All staff were friendly and polite too.
The location of these apartments is ideal for all trains and bus services, as only a five minute walk away.
Ideal for going in to the City centre, Platform 1 from Chatswood to Central, or wynyard for circular quay.
Chatswood has numerous shopping centres, and all other types of shops. It has a Catholic church close by too, and Chatswood Entertainment Centre.
Also numerous Asian restaurants to choose from too.
This is the place to stay if you want 5 star accommodation with 5 star customer service.
Thank you so much Mantra Apartments for making our holiday in Sydney to memorable.

Staff were particularly friendly, efficient and helpful, and the location is great, but that is where the positive experience ends. We were given a room that had mould growing on the walls in the bathroom....not just a little mould. When this was reported, we were given another room (smaller) and a bottle of wine as an apology (appreciated). The first room had multiple power points not working, including the one with the bedside lamp. The next room had grease stains all over the splash back tiles in the kitchen, and it was very noisy, coming from motel machinery outside the bedroom window. There was no room service in the six days we stayed and we had to chase up daily milk, tea bags, towels etc. We expect some of the issues lie with cleaner staff shortages due to covid, and we totally understand and don't mind but a heads up and discount would have helped. We understood that there was a restaurant as the booking info said there was. It was not operating (again, we get it and understand, but a heads up would have helped). Our fridge started alarming, then stopped working. In order to keep things cold we had to put items in the staff fridge. They were very good to run up items on demand, but we won't be staying there again.

We had the worst stay ever in any hotel chain or this hotel should be rated less than 1 star.
We did not get a room service for 3 days no one emptied rubbish no one changed towels no one tidy the bed or room after complaining we had room service in the 4th which was out last day.
The reason was no staff, really?
Last time I checked we paid full price for a room didn’t give us nothing.
Pillow and bed mattress are garbage.
Air conditioner was doggie didn’t cool both rooms , ironing table
Old rust bucket you can loose a finger trying to open it.
No manager on site we wanted to talk to someone but no manage on duty.
Room also full of mosquito, we asked for spray we never received, we also asked for body soap and shampoo arrived after 3 calls and complain downstairs.
Do your self a favour and don’t waste your money stay away from this night mate of a hotel.
P.S no of us are smokers but we were told we smoked in the room what utter nonsense and how unprofessional to call and accuse a member for such rubbish.
So be careful you might be accused of things you have not done.

Excellent location for this hotel but generally awful because of a number of reasons in particular, Hotel does not clean the room that’s with filthy sheets and dirty towels Wood I did for my entire day I had to request clean towels. It took them over three hours I had to ask them to remove the dirty towels from the bathroom, and instead of putting the towels in the bathroom, there’s left them in the kitchen area. Staff generally unfriendly and lack knowledge of local eateries. When I asked if they could recommend the pizza place, the response was Domino’s, which is just plainly ridiculous The woman who checked me out, was unfriendly and cold. Didn’t ask me how I enjoyed my stay, there, a lack of warmth among the staff and for the price paid, it was not worth it

We reported that there's a dryer in the room, but there's no washing machine. The morning receptionist provided access to use the washing machine from one of the out of service room. I tried to access the room later in the evening, but the key didn't work. I have to made trips multiple times to the receptionist to explained what happened, very very inconvenience. the evening Receptionist showed very poor customer service and seems did not know what to do.

With family members living in Chatswood the Mantra was obvious choice. We checked in and parked in adequate car park. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We chose a 1 bed apartment. This faced the rear so no stunning view but no traffic noise. Room was clean with cooking area. Shower area was clean . The TV was encased in wooden structure which prevented access to HMDI to improve TV viewing. We took breakfast which was ok scrambled eggs were sometimes "stale" looking and coffee was lukewarm. Staff in restaurant were attentive especially Hermione (from Brazil) who made us very welcome. The only suggestions to improve would be smaller dishes at breakfast to ensure fresh turnaround and the room TV having Netflix or similar. Will be staying again in the future.

Hi riktikitavi, I have never used the pool or spa but I think it is 7am to 9/10 pm. You can not really see the Sydney CBD anymore. There is a lot of hi-rise going on in the area. If want quiet, I suggest above the 4th floor, but be aware of low water pressure on the top floors. There is the Chelsea hotel on the ground floor SE corner (Brown & RailwaySt) which has noise and rubbish trucks in the early hours of the morning. Pick a room towards the Pacific Hwy. or the back of the property (west and north). Across the road and on the other side of the railway line is a lot of great restaurants.
