Really disappointed with our stay at this hotel. Our room was tidy but not clean, dusty, stains, chipped tiles, mouldy. Very old and tired! Balcony unable to be locked and had construction material and panes of glass, buckets of cement amount other items so balcony unable to be used. We were not told of this when booked! The worst part was the heating would not work, in the middle of winter. We called down stairs and they came and checked it out but were unable to fix it, offered us two tiny blow heaters which we did not feel were safe to keep on over night, so we froze! We were told by management they are individually owned and they just managed them! Would not stay here or recommend anyone else do either!

I have stayed here many times over many years and I will never stay here again. There was rubbish in the bin from a previous stay, the balcony was prized shut with a block of wood and scaffolding on the balcony - i wasn't advised of work being done, the bed was broken and if you sat on the edge you ended up on the floor, the bathroom had a airvent patched with sticky tape, my internet didn't work and i had to ask twice for a code, there was no one on reception when I left.

Absolutely terrible! Would never stay here again. It started with a 2 1/2hour delay to our check in; partly because they had run out of sheets. Then they made our king size bed with perhaps queen sized sheets- sideways - top and bottom!! The place is filthy and in desperate need of maintenance. I don’t think the air con intake filter had ever been cleaned. The fridge had mould in the back. The lock from the balcony to our children’s bedroom was held on by one flimsy screw. The dishwasher leaked all over the kitchen floor and onto the living room carpet. The clothes dryer doesn’t have a filter so it spews lint all over the place. We raised all of these issues with reception. The only thing fixed was our sheets.

We booked and stayed at The Sebel for one night with our family of five (two adults and three children). We booked a two bedroom apartment, which looked lovely online. Upon entering the room, it smelt like mould. Curtains and carpet were all mouldy and covered in brown stains. Everything looked old and unkept. We had booked for three children, but because the second bedroom only had two single bedrooms, we were told while checking in that there was a fold out sofa for our other child. This was no issue. I had written in the notes, twice before arriving, to ask if the bed could be made up. When we got to the room, the sofa bed had not been made up, so we unfolded it to do it ourselves. What we found inside the sofa when we unfolded it was really disappointing. There were co2 chargers (obviously previous guests had been huffing the gas out of them to get high). There were about 6 or 7 of them left inside the sofa lounge, which obviously had not been cleaned at all. (Photo attached). My husband went down to complain to reception about what we had discovered and he said he’d send a manager up straight away to clean it and make the bed up for my 7 year old son. In lieu of what had happened, he offered us a complimentary sparking water. Bizarre. Anyway, awful experience. Dirty, run down, smelly, and an all round gross place to stay. We have stayed in so many hotels all around the world, and I must say I’ve never gone to the effort to leave a review on trip advisor before. This is by far the worst place we’ve ever had to stay. We thought about checking out but it was too late to drag our three children out again at dinner time. It is definitely not 4 star. A caravan would have been a nicer experience.

We've booked for 2 nights and the service we get was disappointing. We arrived at around 8pm the bed was not made. Excuse we get is shortage of staff - linen was not delivered on time for some reason they can't control... The kitchen and the laundry was not fully cleaned up. Someone else's plastic bag is left in the kitchen drawer and previous customer's underwear is left inside the washing machine. Fridge is not turned on took ages to find the switch... Can't believe all this can happen in a professional or 4 star hotel. Although it is well located and room facilities are ok we will definitely not stay here again!

We chose The Sebel for our family Christmas reunion, after 2yrs, because it offered 2 & 3 bedroom apartments with furnished balconies, plus an open air pool area. BUT what we got were 2 & 3 bed apartments with NO accessible balconies and a VERY restricted pool space which we had to make a booking for! The exterior refurbishment work was NOT made know to us when we booked, or anytime afterwards, if it had been we would’ve looked elsewhere. Although the apartment itself was very comfortable I’m extremely disappointed with the no access to the balcony and very limited pool space. It certainly was not worth the money we paid for not having these!!

We booked a room for 3 nights. We arrived to find that the room was subject to construction noise levels (90 -100db measured). The noise was so loud, it was impossible to talk to another person in the room. Sebel management were unwilling to provide alternative accommodation weather within the property, at another Sebel property or at another hotel in the area. Management seemed to think this level of noise was acceptable (works last about 1 month). This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced at any hotel/serviced apartment. I have been using the Sebel at Chatswood for literally decades. I love the central location in Chatswood, close to shops and transport. The hotel staff are wonderful and the Units all have a lovely outlook over tree lined North Shore suburbs.

We stayed for 3 nights, booking direct on line through their website- little did we know that their official web site had been hacked by a 3rd party - Getaroom - . Everything looked legit on the confirmation except we had been charged an extra $305 for services and charges. Another member of my family had also been scammed as well but he managed to stop the payment very quickly. The management couldn’t care less after my complaint to them and inferred I was a liar. I had never heard of Getaroom let alone wanting to book with them ! I always book direct. So Just BEWARE of booking through Sebel’s site or Accor. The hotel is going through renovations on the facia. We were not told that workmen would be on our balcony with Jack hammers. We could not hear the TV nor talk on the phone. They moved us to another floor saying it would be quieter. No, just the same, angle grinders and jackhammers. The hotel should NOT be open . Beware at all costs . Good location though and fine if you are totally deaf.

We paid for breakfast $14 per adult per night and received cereal, milk and a popper. Only booked this hotel fon the breakfast and balcony and our balcony was out of order. arrived at 2pm, our room was not ready so had to sit in lobby with 3 kids for almost an hour until room was ready for us to go in. When get finally got into room where was long black hairs left in the bathroom and realised we had no balcony. The whole stay was very disappointing. Will not be staying her again and would not recommend stating here.
