Good location if you're intent is to stay by Coogee beach. Close to restaurants ... but then being so close to Sydney itself, by comparison the restaurants were understaffed and we would have done better to go back into Sydney for main meals. The property itself is a little tired. Old carpets, and headboard of one of the small bedrooms...

I have to say this is a great find. Really enjoyed 5 days with gf's at this place. Firstly the location is fantastic. The view is superb and the rooms are clean. I was a little concerned at some negative reviews but went ahead and I've gotta say its really good. I'm pretty fussy. Yeah it's not new, but the...

The apartment was fantastic. it was very spacious, views of the beach and walking distance to everything. We found everything to be very clean and neat. We also had a great balcony and it wasnt noisy at all. We will definitely stay there again.

What you pay for is what you get. Some would say the rooms are a little run down, but they are spacious and have everything you need. There are a few dings and stains, but I think that is from inconsiderate guests. The views from the balconys are very good as well.

I have been staying at the Coogee View for a long time and it works well as reasonably priced accommodation close to the beach and local restaurants. Parking is included and also works well, and whilst the whole place is nothing to write hone about, I would stay there again.

To arrive from interstate off 2 flights with 3 young children in tow to be checked into an apartment where they were aware the heating and dishwasher weren't working was a huge inconvenience. After 1 night of sitting wrapped in blankets we asked to be moved so had to pack up 3 kids, bags and groceries to be moved to...

Best thing about the place is its size. Three bedrooms, large lounge, dining, separate kitchen and laundry, bathroom and ensuite. Wide range of Foxtel stations in lounge only. Paintwork chipped and quite marked. Windows and doors have minimal sealing so noise and wind an issue.front lounge and kitchen extremely noisy. Saturday night party downstairs incredibly loud, still going at 7.00am...

Great location, but ... our apartment was on the 1st floor with 2 x cafes and the laundry underneath - these people arrive to work and access the carpark with the very noisy automatic gate banking outside the bedroom window from approx. 5.30am, the laundry machinery starts up at 6.00am until 4.00pm (exhaust outside main bedroom window too). Cooking smells...

As with the title, myself and my family did enjoy quite a good view of the ocean from our apartment, yet there were aspects that brought down the level of comfort and satisfaction with our stay. First of all was the noise. Surely they would have installed double glazed windows by now as we had experienced sleepless nights in our...

Wow ... Location great BUT tired old apartment. Not enough amenities ie seating for four in a three bedroom apartment. Cutlery for 4. Windows not sealed. No sound proofing on windows ... I'd hate to stay in height of summer. Sooooo noisy. Great view though!!!!

Staying in Coogee

Neighbourhood Profile
Coogee
Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs that does not have big waves, making it an excellent family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity footballers! A little further south is Wylie’s Baths, offering sweeping 180 degree views over the Pacific Ocean, and it is perfect for a swim or a few laps. Plenty of dining choices surround the beach, including the famous fish and chips.
