Love this place my husband and I have stayed here a number of times over the years. The owner is a great guy that involves himself personally to each and every customer. This unique wooden lodge has a number of different accomodations Avalible from sharing a room with friends with common bathrooms, to your own bedroom room with bathroom or...

Last time I will ever be staying here, have never felt so unwelcome before at a place I paid to stay at. No shoes on inside, no feet up on the seats, no food or drinks in the room...I could go on with the list of things you aren't allowed to do at this place. I wouldn't recommend anyone staying...

My friends booked this place and were raving about it. It really is a true wooden lodge and has a lot of character. But it definitely scared me when i walked it, the owner is shall we say very unique. He is a nice guy, just not what i was expecting. Its basically a big house with many rooms and...

This place is run just like any old school ski lodge, just 30- 40 minutes from the slopes and 10 minutes east of Jindabyne centre. It is beautifully kept with expansive bare timber on every surface, quirky wall and ceiling decorations, communal bathrooms, dining room and games room. Anyone who has stayed in a lodge will understand this place and...

I have been staying at rivergum for 5 years. The first Time we stayed there we were left with out a room from a booking mistake at another establishment. Rodney "rocket" happily made room for us at very short notice in the middle of the night. Even tho he was fully booked. The hospitality rocket has shown over the years...

I have stayed at Rivergum about 4 times with my wife and daughter. We are now welcomed like a long lost friend by Rodney and his staff, after taking our shoes off and entering the lounge area with its huge roaring fire. As other reviewer(s) have noted, there are rules, but they are for the benefit of everyone and whenever...

I honestly don't know where to start.... My friends and I decided to head to the snow at the last minute and this place was the last room I could find. Working at perisher for several seasons and working over the world in resorts and hostels I wasn't expecting much- after all we are there for the snow. We drove...

Before believing a negative review, look at the reviewer's profile and other submissions. On this basis, I'd already discounted the whingers when I arrived at Rivergum. I booked on a last minute whim via Wotif, so we weren't sure what to expect when we arrived. We were warmly greeted and shown straight to our room with a minimum (total absence?)...

Staying at Rivergum lodge for the first time was an experience in its self that had my family smiling from the moment we rocked up at 11pm on a Friday night, half expecting a cranky guest manager to rouse on us for being so late. Not even. Rodney greeted us warmly at the door and offered us warm drinks right...

As soon as my family and I arrived at the lodge we were treat very well. The Owner Rodney was very kind towards all of us. The accomodation was exactly what we wanted, sit back in front of the open fire and relax after a big day/s on the snow. We chose to eat dinner at the lodge and he...
