I had a wonderful stay with my friends here. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and ever so helpful(very different to the managers i had met in a previuos stay). Its located right in the centre of town making it so convienient especially for those who love to shop and eat out and even the odd necessities. It has...

Great place for an overnight stay. We had a family room with our own bathroom. Small and cosy and very cheap. The hosts were lovely and helpful. The only problem was with the windows banging in the wind at night, but it is an old building. Great location too.

Conveniently located right in the heart of town opposite the supermarket and amongst the cafes and restaurants. it is just a 200 metre stroll to railway station and bus stop. The Cecil is a grand old guesthouse reflecting all the charm of a by-gone era with cosy bedrooms, communal loungeroom, games room and dining room. We stayed as a family...

This is the worst accommodation I have ever experienced in the Southern Hemisphere. Reminds me of some of the worst places I have stayed in Europe. Old, dipalidated and run down, dirty bathroom, tiles missing, wallpaper coming off, chipped paint all over the place. Really horrible and a massively disappointing end to our family holiday. TV in communal lounge gets...

This quaint hotel has lost it's way. It needs a lot of tender love. The rooms are old and dilapidated and in need of serious upgrades. Not worth the money we were charged. Looks like it was probably nice 70 years ago. It was once a backpackers hostel. Still looks like one.

Place was simple and good. Very helpful staff. Lovely tea room. Walking distance from train station. Room (private ensuite) had enough space. Heater, wardrobe, no tv. Bathroom was also good enough (very cold at night! We have not turned the heater on). Breakfast was the traditional australian basic (coffee, tea, bread, cereals). They're changing the hotel character, from backpackers to...

It is a backpackers lodge. There is communal sharing of toilet facilities as there is a communal activities room with a pool table, ping pong table and a fireplace as well. it's near to the ANZ bank and the driveway looks narrow.

Very charming place with a great atmosphere! The entertainment room is great, albeit a little cold in winter. We set out on a 2day bushwalk very early in the morning and they provided a private breakfast in the gorgeous tearoom with great views. We will definitely be back.

this is the third time I have stayed there, so I consider that to be fairly loyal as a customer. the manager is lacking in PR skills meaning he is not friendly and greeting and does not like to engage in social chit chat. the place always as the two front doors open so it is freezing. there is no...

Dear Samantha, I spoke with you in depth about what your complaint was and, in the end, all you could say was the staff were making you uncomfortable and staring at you here and out in public. This really surprised me because the staff you were talking about are probably the loveliest people I've ever met. After discussing the issues...

We were on a road trip and booked a mixture of accommodation....this was the most basic of guesthouses but we felt it was good value for money. We had a double and a single room using shared bathroom facilities. Comfortable and clean are the words I would use and the breakfast is a lovely touch for those on a budget....
