This is a stunning location for views with a beautiful hotel. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished in a country house style. The food in the nearby restaurant was superb with very chatty and helpful staff. It was certainly a most enjoyable stay and worth a visit when visiting the area and is less than two hours from Sydney.

First impressions of this hotel were not good. The lady on reception was rather contrived and I think was channelling a hotel receptionist from the 1920's and therefore the welcome was a little chilly. The expectation that you pay $15 to have someone park your car in a hotel that sells itself as 'luxury' is a little insulting. No one...

We decided to stay at Lilianfels when visiting a friend in Katoomba and we are so glad we did. For years I've read about this beautiful resort and it was all I had imagined. Located just next door to the Echo Point Lookout and with its own wonderful outlook, the resort has friendly staff who couldn't have been more helpful....

Stayed 10 years ago and was looking for for the same experience. Sadly it appears the same effort is not the philosophy. Bathroom, mould in the shower, power point not working, Staff uniforms need to be replaced, (Clearly old and well worn) Furniture stained and food stuck to the cushions. Dinner waited 15 minutes to order then wanted to take...

Having stayed at Lilianfels some years ago and been disappointed by the size and decor of the rooms, I was surprised to find my husband had booked it for a 3 night getaway in the Mountains. He assured me that we were in "the new section" and it is true that our Valley View room is in a newer block...

We stayed here for four nights and the hotel and staff were excellent especially Jess who makes each guest feel special. Right by the Echo Point view point and an excellent base for walking on the cliff top paths. The morning we walked to Leura we only met three people as most tourists walk near the Scenic World site. Good...

We recently stayed at Lilianfels for three nights in an "Executive Valley View Room" with a spa bath for our wedding anniversary. We booked (and paid for everything) eleven months in advance including for breakfasts, chocolates and a dozen roses on arrival. When we arrived we pulled our car into the reception area. One other couple were checking in in...

We stayed here for two nights whilst visiting the Blue Mountains. We arrived mid morning and there was no porter on duty to take our luggage into the hotel. When we asked for someone to help us the receptionist said she would take our luggage to our room. We thought this was unusual for a hotel of this class. Our...

Old world charm meets modern luxury - the hotel is gorgeous and facilities are great - both indoor and outdoor pools are beautiful and the lounge is lovely to sit in and have high tea. My only criticism was the extremely limited room service - as I was working until later when I got back about 11pm the bar was...
