When we stayed here the first time, a lovely tray of French patisseries was delivered to your room at breakfast, along with some eggs for you to cook yourself. It was a lovely B&B breakfast - quaint, filling, well presented. This time there is no breakfast! Unless you pay an additional $20pp - which is a very expensive bowl of...

My wife & I stayed in the Paris Suite earlier this week which coincided with the storms sweeping NSW. The resulting enforced 'indoor' stay gave us the chance to appreciate the very comfort, clean suite & the superb food at the Rooster, The staff we found very friendly & helpful. I've seen comments from others about having to carry their...

Stayed here for three nights in early March and thought it was fantastic! Our room had plenty of space, a great view (we were in the Paris room) and the hotel's location was perfect - 10 minute walk into the town's restaurants and pubs, and some good bush walks directly across the road. The staff were very hospitable - special...

WOW, what a wonderful evening we had at The Rooster Restaurant last week. Delicious French food in a cosy ambience & reasonably priced. There are many choices available on the menu, & most dishes are available in both entree & main course sizes. We had very attentive & friendly service. The waiter suggested the wines per course which were all...

Our overall view for this establishment is very good due to it location to for Blue Mountain walks and.the town centre eateries, we stopped just one night in a nice room with a very comfy bed and super soft bed linen. We found the staff helpful and polite and we should have tried to request one of the two bedrooms...

We stayed here for two nights as part of our road trip around NSW. We arrived and were told where our room was with no offer of help with cases etc just that the key was in the door. The room itself was the Baudelaire room which was a fair size including a sofa area. The room however really could...

I went there with my sister for dinner because it was so highly rated and I was a bit disapointed. I ordered the "Duck Two Way" main meal and I recieved a entree sized meal instead while my sister ordered the steak dinner and got the appropriate sizing. Later on, when the bill came, I found out that I was...

We stayed at this guest house many years ago and loved the location so decided to try it again. The guest house in within walking distance of Katoomba and has a walking trail across the road to Echo Point. The guest house looks down the Jamison Valley with some rooms having the views. We, unfortunately, looked over the house next...

Located on the 'cliff edge' drive over looking the Blue Mountains, a bit outside the Katoomba Town Center is this French Resturant. Don't be put off by the rather 'high-so' dining room, because the quality of the food more than matches. Warm crusty baguettes with home made pork terrine, bream fish with amazing vegetables and a fantastic strawberry soufflé -...

We chanced upon The Rooster Restaurant on one of our walks in the Blue Mountains, & had lunch there. Traditional looking, relaxing, charming & great service. The food was good too. Must try is their home-made ice-cream: reasonably priced, creamy & out of this world, especially the cappuccino ice cream.
