Great value, great piece of history and made to feel very welcome, rooms are comfy and the location is very handy to Leura village. Family rooms are available, and breakfast in included in the stay. A nice traditional B&B

Warm welcome with history of the property. Close to town centre and eateries. Nice garden grounds. Rooms neat and tidy with plenty of rom. Short drive to Katoomba and Blackheath. Easy walk to Laura Mall for dinner at the local Indian restaurant. Cooked breakfast included caped off a great weekend.

Our overnight stay was for 5 of us having a Girl's Weekend and we had The Priest's Cottage. It was perfect for what we wanted. Breakfast being included was also an added bonus. We did enjoy that !! Thank you very much !!

While the history and bones of this old house should be reason enough to stay, the charm is lacking once you enter the accommodation. The interior is old and very basic with little design flair. Breakfast is average. The host was ok but careful..... For the price ok, but not in a rush to come back.

amazing views, and a quiet, pleasant stay in a heritage building with a central place in local history. Only one night, but I will have to come back again for a weekend away. A short walk into Leura township but a million miles away. A slightly bigger selection at breakfast would have been the icing on the cake, but it...

Thank you Louis for taking the time to post your thoughts on Leura House. Being only a 5 minute walk from Leura Village and on the quiet side of town this heritage listed building is in an ideal location! And the fact it was not their main residence when originally built in 1880 We appreciate your comments and take everything...

If you appreciate old style and historic charm, this guesthouse is definitely for you. We arrived, and were greeted by Gary. Gary showed us around the guest house, and his knowledge of the property was impressive. He had such an extensive knowledge of the area and it's history....... the weekend was well worth it just for that. Back to Leura...

Thank you Jayne for your kind words! We are thankful when guests appreciate the historic history of Leura House. We understand that the decor may not be modern but we try and balance that against the age of the building. We appreciate all your comments and will look into adding to the weekday breakfast! See you next time! Garry

Our stay was great. The only thing I would say is that a cooked breakfast would make it perfect. The hosts were very helpful and we would recommend staying at this beautiful house. The rooms and the house were very clean

Thank you Audrey for taking the time to post a review While not to everyones taste, there are many guests that enjoy staying in a historic guest house that is also a family home Unfortunately at this present time we only serve a cooked breakfast on weekends Thank you once again for your kind words! Expected much more for the price. There was the bare minimum in the room. Breakfast was just adequate . Reminded me of type you get on a school camp if you're lucky. There is no restaurant as advertised. Very close to Leura shops.

Thank you Gloria for taking the time to post a review. We understand that people expecting a motel type atmosphere may be disappointed with Leura House, being an older style guest house. We are one of the last guest houses of timber construction left on the mountains Yes it is basic but that is the attraction for a lot of...

We like character and a bit of quirkiness when we visit places and this certainly delivered! We looked up their website and was impressed with the history and the write up. However we felt it was a bit misleading as it said it was very grand and luxurious and the best w/e away in Leura. A Golden spot with superb...

Thank you Sheena for your review We serve a basic breakfast during the week and a cooked breakfast on weekends You mentioned a "lot of tacky things"; As this is our home we have collected these items on our journey thru life. I guess everybody has "tacky things" in their home which are of a personal nature! Like any accommodation...

Just happened to exit the motorway at Leura and saw a small "Guest House" sign. Went there, got a room and it was terrific. What a great find! Would recommend to anyone who wants something very special. Plus an excellent brew pub is a short walk away.
