Our meals were delicious and served very quickly even though there were more people than expected on a Monday night, and they were missing a staff member. The prices are far more appealing than the nearby pub (presumably their competition), and the servings are sufficiently sized.

We were two 70-ish couples and selected this hotel for dinner one week-night due to the great reviews here. However, although we know it was listed as a Family Friendly hotel, we did not expect to find uncontrolled children running amok and banging on tables with the parents totally ignoring the disturbance to other customers. Foodwise the service was fairly...

Was a great meal but only one staff on duty and was run off her feet looking after about 40 guests. She done an excellent job doing it. It took about 20 mins for most of the guest to get their orders in. Not Good Enough.

We had a good pub meal here - chicken parmis and chips were good. Kids enjoyed it and the staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of people so I think we were lucky to get in as we hadn't booked. Just be aware it doesn't open until 6pm. We thought we'd get an early dinner but had to sit and...

Great service from the start. Friendly staff (thanks Steph and Laura), good sized meals, so generous. Yummo gummy shark. Would highly recommend a visit when you're on Kangaroo Island. The kids thought highly of their meals, enjoyed the Sundaes that Steph served. Thanks so much for the really lovely dinner, service and friendly smiles. We'll be back for sure.

We are interstaters who eat here when on KI and the meals are always great. Staff are friendly too! Be sure to visit on the Schnitzel nights as the range to choose from makes it difficult to select and means you have to come back to try another one which is not a problem.

Excellent local pub assisted us avoiding the coach parties in the adjacent hotel AND saved me 15$ on one steak alone compared to the adjacent hotel. Wife had the very reasonable Whiting dish. A pint and a glass of white in Happy Hour was only 10 $. Lovely personal service appreciated. Worth noting there were 40 folk eating this Friday...

Food was superb. We had the marinated kangaroo fillet and the whiting. The red wine marinade was sooo rich and the meat tender. Unpretentious surroundings typical of a country pub. Arrived quickly and friendly service.

Had lunch in the front bar one Sunday arvo. Standard country pub set-up. Meals were nice, I had the chicken and haloumi salad, love KI haloumi! Chicken was nice, a little more wouldn't have gone astray. Partner had kangaroo, it was cooked well. All up a decent pub meal.
