There is no denying that this is an old motel in need of an update but the owners are gradually doing some great renovations and for us it ticked all the boxes and was better than some of the newer ones we had stayed in on our trip.
Our room on the upstairs level was clean, well furnished and had everything we needed including a microwave. The large bathroom had been beautifully renovated and included a bath and some excellent toiletries.
Like all motels in Colac it is on the main road but traffic was no problem. We also loved the roses and other plants in the gardens. If we ever pass through Colac again, we will definitely stay again.

Stopped in here on the way to Warrnambool. The room was comfortable and recently painted. But it was also very dated and probably had too much furniture for the size of the room - which made it feel crowded. The best part of this place was the location. Walking distance to the lake and Botanic Gardens. It’s also really close to a range of local eateries. We’d definitely stay here again.

Thank you rushing-man for taking the time to write a review and provide us with valuable feedback! We are very pleased to see that you would definitely stay with us again. As you have mentioned the room has been recently painted which is the beginning of our refurbishment program so hopefully you will see more changes when next you stay with us. Just a tip for your next stay- not all our rooms are set up the same way and if you require only a queen room you will find it has less furniture- we hope that is useful. We look forward to welcoming you back. Best wishes Susan

The rooms could do with a modernisation but the dinner & breakfast were magnificent. So were the staff, friendly and helpful. The home cooked meals were magnificent. Not fancy or covered in olive oil, which seems to be a modern trend. They were just right. Thanks

Location was good a easy walk into town and restaurants for dinner Looked at the pool but didn't dare get into it, its advertised with a pool and this was the season it should be available. The shower pressure was woeful, the table and desk were sticky, needs a good clean. On arrival I was told to leave the key in the room on departure as the manager was tired and liked to sleep in, it turns out that not just the manager is tired the whole complex is tired and neglected and is in desperate need of some Tender Loving Care. One of my sheets was ripped. Just not up to any real standard

We liked the room as it had a second bedroom, though it was on the first floor, which meant we could here all the trucks driving through the Main Street. The beds were comfy, the bathroom was ok. The pool advertised as open was closed due to an alge issue which disappointed the kids. The location was ok, a short walk to restaurants. It’s old and could do with a bit of a renovation. It’s good for a nights sleep.
