What a wonderful step back in time. Run by a charming couple, Ian and Madeleine Baker made us feel like we were part of their extended family. Accommodation is excellent and the included breakfast from owner/chef Ian was a real highlight. Literally 150 meters from the beach and sp tranquil and peaceful.

Thanks for 'stepping back in time' with us here at Glen Isla to good old fashioned hospitality! We're all about genuine old-world charm and elegance here at Glen Isla along with a warm welcome, and since opening to welcome guests in 2003 we've had the privilege to host guests from all over the world to our historic property - including...

We took a detour to Philip Island on our recent trip from London through Melbourne and Western Australia. We arrived in Cowes with modest expectations. From the moment we turned off a quiet residential street and through its unassuming entrance, however, we realised that Glenn Isla was no ordinary B&B. The buildings and grounds formed a tranquil, immaculately kept oasis...

Thanks indeed Duncan for taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences at Glen Isla here on Tripadvisor. Driving along Church Street past the gates of Glen Isla, you might be forgiven for assuming there's not much behind the high fences, but the 100+ year-old oaks and Norfolk Pines do give the game away a little! The two acres...

Having travelled from London to Hong Kong and then Melbourne, living out of a suitcase, it was sheer heaven to unwind and enjoy the hospitality of Glen Isla House in Phillip Island. Not only was the accommodation charming and luxurious, it was the little extras that really made it - a bottle of bubbly in the fridge, Molton Brown toiletries...

Just when we thought we couldn't wish for a better review, along comes this wonderful message!! So glad you enjoyed your stay in our authentic Heritage Suite (our genuine historic accommodations originally part of the historic homestead), and yes there are some rather special touches for our Bed & Breakfast guests in this suite who book directly with us -...

Thanks for your great and to the point review!! Indeed over the years there have been many 'repeat visitors', and they often comment that they have returned to find Glen Isla just as they remember it, and just it was when they last stayed.... Thanks for coming back! We certainly hope to welcome you again for another short break... Ian...

My sister and I chose Glen Isla after finding this charming hotel on Trip Advisor and we were in no way disappointed having completed our visit to Philip Island. Our hosts Ian and Madeline were extremely helpful and welcoming from the moment we booked online from England and throughout our stay. Providing pre-visit information was a particularly thoughtful touch and...

Thanks for taking the time to write a review and for your kind words on our accommodations and purpose-architected room design for our Classic Rooms.
