What a beautiful, serene location. The buildings, grounds and the rooms are excellent and it is very obvious the attention to detail the owners Ian and Madeleine put into every aspect of the experience they provide for guests. We were welcomed warmly, given helpful information about the area then shown our lovely room which had a delightful outdoor seating area...

Thanks Cat for your cvery omprehensive review...! The two acres of heritage gardens dating back to c1870 certainly provide for a great location for relaxing, and of course the pristine sandy beach just 100 metres out the back gate beckons... The eggs are a feature in our chef's cooked to order breakfast, and as you experienced, there is a difference...

An absolutely lovely place to stay , the gardens and grounds are beautiful and the gatehouse cottage had everything you needed and the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Ian and Madeline were very helpful with information regarding the local area and eating spots.I loved sitting in the gardens with a cuppa and a chat with their old...

Thanks for taking the time to write of our recent experience staying with us at Glen Isla... We receive many comments about how comfortable our beds are, and a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed is important! The Gate Cottage is our 2 bedroom self-cater offering, with a fully equipped kitchen (even including those important condiments in the pantry...

Wow what a wonderful place to stay, even the driveway is an experience with manicured gardens and cottages spread amongst the grounds, and only a few minutes walk to the beach too. Ian and Madeline who own and operate Glen Isla House are genuinely lovely, very real and determined to make your stay memorable. If you get the chance to...

Thanks Eric for your very kind words. The heritage suite accommodations are our authentic historic accommodations, originally part of the main heritage house dating back to c1870. Period furnishings, private fireplace, large corner spa, and of course king-size four poster bed are all part of the experience. The suite offers complete privacy, including its own outdoor terrace in the gardens....

Awesome, delightful decor, lots of surprises, close to everything, amazingly informative hosts, exquisite surroundings, the most comfortable beds and breakfast to die for....the list goes on. Cycling from Glen Isla to The Nobbies and back was scenic and exciting. The beach is very close for walking, swimming and just relaxing too. We were away for 4 days and it could...

Absolutely wonderful - location, décor, service, garden, breakfast, access to beach - could go on and on - everything was perfect - would not change anything! The rooms are lovely with ample hanging space and include a T.V and refrigerator. The gardens are a delight with big, beautiful shady trees including 100 year old oak trees and a pleasure to...

Thanks for your review and kind words. Food is somewhat of a "passion" here at Glen Isla, and our chef's breakfast in the dining room overlooking the gardens rates many mentions in the guestbook here, and on Tripadvisor... Warm hospitality and unobtrusive service have always been hallmarks at Glen Isla. We hope to see you back again soon for another...

Thanks for your review... Indeed 'attention to detail' is one of our absolutes here at Glen Isla for the past 11 years we've been welcoming guests.
