I have stayed at this backpackers several times and will always return. On the last occasion I took my girlfriend and we were treated to a lovely room with en-suite facilities and the usual use of communal kitchen/areas. Robbo who runs the place was at hand to look after us and it was great to see that the rooms are...

Great hostel, rooms and kitchen are clean. Really beautiful location, wild cockatoos are flying around the hostel and it's surrounded by beautiful nature. It's only a short walk to the beach. It's feels like home there and like living with a family. Highly recommended.

A bit of a hard place to find but it is located right after the grocery store. You need cash and have to meet up with the Robbo who works there. If you can't find him the manager works at the grocery store and his name is Robert. But the place is clean and located in a great location. We...

Hard to find information about this backpackers on the internet but it is worth finding if you are travelling on a tight budget. The rooms are dated but clean and neat and you have everything you need, including a private shower in the double rooms. Owner met us on arrival and was very pleasant and welcoming. Wish we'd found this...

Stayed at this backpackers for a night on the visit down the great ocean road. What a gem! Felt like a home from home. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and its situated about an Italian restaurant if you get hungry. Rooms are big. 3 min walk from town. 1 min walk from food works supermarket. Had free parking.

We stayed at the Erskine River Backpackers a couple of times on our journey up and down the Great Ocean Road. I was a bit apprehensive about booking a room at first due to a couple of poor reviews but no sooner had I met the owner/manager of the place I realised he was just a good hearted Aussie bloke...

The place is nice and quiet, the rooms are nice, clean but if you ask the hostel owner anything it seems like too much trouble. Was very cold even though it's the summer season so I asked for a doona, said he would 'think about it ' so I hardly slept for 2 nights. Is on a power trip or...

I stayed at this hostel for 4 nights, exploring the Great Ocean Road national parks and enjoying the natural beauty of Lorne. The place has a nice veranda to hang out and is nicely located, just by the Erskine river, 150m from a supermarket. There was a good spirit about the hostel, relaxed and friendly and people being respectful about...
