Our party of six was graciously welcomed by Genevieve and Francois. They eagerly shared the history of their beautiful home. Tea and cookies were served and later we enjoyed a delicious meal including an excellent home brewed wine. We had taken Genevieve up on this additional option and we were certainly glad we did. The rooms were tastefully decorated and...

Le Clos Saint George is a charming traditional old farmhouse, bursting with character and a pleasure to stay at. Geneviève et François-Xavier could not have been more hospitable and accommodating. The breakfasts were amazing and François-Xavier even got up at 4:30am on the day we left to make sure that we had breakfast. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Lovely 200 year old house with comfortable rooms and beds. Warm welcome from delightful hosts and a very good evening meal. The pot of tea and some local cake on our arrival was an extra bonus. We have stayed in many Chambre d'Hotes during the past 12 years and this ranks among the very best

We enjoyed our outward stay so much, we revisited on our way home. The family welcomed us like we were long standing friends and went out of their way to look after us. The rooms are clean, beautifully decorated and en suite. Beautiful garden and frontage and very typically French. Madam cooked for us and we ate delightfully, including wine...

Our stay there was excellent in every regard. An excellent meal was prepared for us as we arrived in the area late and had no other dinner plans. It was an exquisite feast, and that just set the tone for our visit. Rooms were large and fitted with the most up to date amenities. Breakfasts were a veritable festival of...

You think you've experienced some pretty decent b&b's........and then you stay with Genevieve and Francois-Xavier Mercier at Clos St George in Baralle in the Pas de Calais in Northern France. What hospitality and what lovely people. Dinner was far better than we could have found in a restaurant locally and a glass of wine together with our hosts beforehand was...

This is one of the best B&B's we have stayed in, and is in a perfect position for visiting WW1 museums and memorials. The home is absolutely enchanting and full of history. The rooms are beautifully decorated in French chateau style, and the ensuite bathrooms are large and luxurious. All is very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The property is in...

We were simply passing through the area but we were very happy to stay in such a beautiful home in a quiet little village. The owner was very kind and welcoming and made every effort to accommodate our requests. The room was large, very clean, and we slept comfortably with 2 baby cots in the room! Thank you for such...

We came to the Somme to visit the museums and memorials to those who fought in WW1 and we were so fortunate to stay in Genevieve and Francois' beautiful home, they along with their son were so friendly and helpful, we were sad to leave. The house has a history of it's own and was close to the front in...

This guesthouse in Baralle in an old abbey, is located in a quiet area and surrounded by trees and farmbuildings. The room was spacious for two persons and a nice view over the garden and the host was very welcoming. Breakfast was marvellous as well. In short: a great guesthouse to stay, you won't be dissapointed.
