stayed there one night and payed 35$ for this night in a mixed dorm. big plus: no bunk beds in my dorm. otherwise was the hostel not very clean, also old and not up to date. A lot of spiderwebs in the common area outside. In the kitchen was an awful smell - still the morning after. It is the...

We stayed here for a night enroute to Perth. The place was very central and close to the supermarkets and the stores. The place was a one story bungalow type house with 6 rooms. There were one women's toilet and one for the mens. The kitchen can be quite small and busy at times, but there are ways to work...

Close to main bus station. We stayed at female dormitory room. Room and bed is comfortable, small kitchen. It was actually a resident house which accommodates as hostel. A budget stay with less expectation.

The place is chilled everything you need and in a great location. If towels that weren't washed in $30 fabric conditioner isn't your thing then it isn't for you. Beds are single in dorms and yeah the usual but comfy. The place is humble and fun

The hostel is well situated. It won't take long to walk into town or to the famous jetty. It also provides free WiFi which is always a great plus for a hostel. Price is alright but the quality isn't that great. Yes, it is a typical backpackers, quite old and no five star hotel but you can still expect kind...

Having a really relaxing easter weekend at Phat Sams, feels really homely and fun. Fed the chooks and lazed in the garden. Beautiful part of the world and the variety of company couldnt be better. Style not essential, checkered welcome :) Simple and fun. Thamks you for the warm welcome. I will be back.

I didn't actually end up staying at this hostel but I did speak to the owner regarding work and he was EXTREMELY rude and clearly couldn't be bothered talking to me. My friends also had a bad experience with him when asking about work, they said he was very unhelpful and told them they might as well go home now-clearly...

I stayed 8 nights. Big positive point: It's clean (kitchen, bathrooms, toilets, floors and tables are cleaned every weekday). Great outside area with tables and benches, couch, barbecue and pizza oven! Ok, sometimes Sam wasn't here when new people arrived but he always appeared somewhen. Quiet during nights except on Friday evening ^_^ ,our fault, sorry. Made some friends, enjoyed...

“The dormitory next to the men toilet and showers is the quieter room, I think, because it's the farthest from the living room and kitchen.I have never been awakened (ok, my roommates were very respectful).”
