Athens avenue is a very nice and simple 4 star hotel with very nice couteous staff and management. Good rooms and nice buffet breakfast, the hotel is not too far from the major touristic places a 5min cab or bus ride is good to go. I enjoyed visiting the church opposite the hotel. It's on the main road so you can't miss the hotel I had a comfortable stay

We stayed here as part of a group of friends visiting sites in Greece. The hotel was modern clean, and comfortable. The staff was nice and helpful. Food was very good. The rooms are bright and large with new furnishings. Others have commented on the road noise and the area around the hotel. I agree with those assessments, but otherwise this seems a nice place to stay. From our 9th floor room right now there’s a clear view of the Parthenon.

We are for professional females who came here on a tour and were assigned this hotel. Hotel is absolutely lovely and modern. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were very big for European standards and the bathrooms were fantastic with standard showers and all the amenities. However the one flaw is that it is not in the city center. The Taxi’s were easily accessible on Uber and cost about seven to €10 for any once trip. The breakfast was lovely with an assortment of pastries, eggs, fruits, and fresh coffee and tea. The staff was also very nice and spoke English well. It definitely made visiting Athens a delight and highly recommend this place especially to Americans as it is the standards we are used to. And of course they had elevators!

This hotel is certainly central. It’s right next to the main road and unfortunately doesn’t have double glazing so the traffic is audible 24/7 although I’ve heard it’s better at the back rooms. I hadn’t seen strip clubs/bars in years but there a are number nearby but that doesn’t demean the area. The hotel itself is clean and modern and has a bar and restaurant which closes at midnight. I missed it by 5 minutes and couldn’t be served. There is a mini bar but ours was empty and stayed that way. We asked the reception host to find a nice restaurant and he called around until he did. There was no water in the room and in Greece this is a necessity but it was available from the bar. We opted out of the breakfast as €50/head and because of the price of that didn’t even venture into the restaurant. The hotel booked us a taxi and we handed him the address to the restaurant. He immediately told us that it would take a long time to get their due to the anti NATO demonstrations and so he called a lovely restaurant right next to the sea rather than in the centre of the city, along a strip of restaurants and reserved a table for us and came back at midnight to collect us. If you need a taxi then Stellios is your man. +30 697 1804126. So reasonable. We got ripped off a couple of times with other taxi drivers but not Stellios.

We spent 3 nights here during our time in Greece. The first 2 at the beginning of the trip and 1 night before we flew home. We had a very nice stay. At the advice of other Tripadvisor reviewers, we made sure to ask for a room in the back of the hotel so that we could minimize the noise from traffic. As a result, we had a quiet room. The check in process was quick and easy. The room was just right for our needs and the beds were comfortable. The shower in the bathroom was small and may be uncomfortable for anyone who may have issues with size or mobility. I was very pleased with the breakfast they offered. As far as location, it is quite the distance from major attractions and unfortunately Athens is poorly designed when it comes to walkways for pedestrians. We did manage to walk around the city and back to our hotel, with the help of Google Maps. But if you are looking for easy access to a certain activity, this may not be of convenience. I am giving this hotel an excellent review because it served the purpose of a peaceful place to rest and a wonderful breakfast.

In Athens, I have also stayed at the Coral Hotel. My review, to compare, can be found on TripAdvisor. Pros: - Bathroom amenities: Soap bar, shampoo, shower gel, vanity kit, shower cap, sewing kit, hairdryer (1200w). - Complimentary bottles of water on first day. - Free in-room WiFi (good speeds, approx. 59Mbps). - Good sleep: comfortable bed and generally quiet (N.B. As others have mentioned here, as the hotel is on a main road, make sure you ask for a room at the rear). - Modern & clean room. Cons: - I would recommend to bring your own soap. The soap bar supplied made the hands incredibly dry. More than any other hotel I have stayed in. - As others have mentioned here, the breakfast is not at a standard of a 4-star hotel. I would put it as the equivalent of a 3-star. N.B. Another review mentioned there were USB ports in the room. Our room did not have these.

We were in Athens Avenue for 7 nights. From the moment I called to ask about availabilities and prices till the moment we checked out we were positively impressed by the personnel! All of them polite, willing to assist at all times and above all professionals. Check-in experience smooth and fast. Great breakfast with a nice variety of food, have tried all of them as we were for a long stay and there was not a single item that was not tasty and fresh! I always value breakfast on 2 things. Coffee and fried eggs...loved them. The rooms very comfortable and the location of the hotel unbelievable convenient. Within minutes (with taxi) in the city centre. Bus stops just outside the hotel. We were travelling with our 16 months baby and the hotel i would say is super kinds friendly. I am happy that we have chosen Athens Avenue for our Christmas Vacation in Athens and for sure next time i will be staying with them.

The hotel was nice and clean with comfortable bed and pillows. It was helpful to have USB ports on either side of the bed for charging our phones. The breakfast room was spacious and there was a good selection. Our 5th floor room faced the street and we could hear road noise from the busy street below. The only downside was the location of the hotel. They claim that it is a 20 minute walk to the Plaka, but the way is dark and forbidding at night and the sidewalks are broken up in places. We did not feel comfortable walking this. We took taxis.

Really good hotel, staff very helpful indeed, the room was great. The shower is positioned strangely but is okay. The 'but..' in the title is due to the location and if you have business in the area, great but access to the main tourist bit is a good 20 minute walk and not easy after a long day of walking around. There is a bus stop close by but you have to have a prepaid ticket to use it and you can't buy them nearby plan to use the bus on the way back. The pavements (sidewalks) are hazardous and it is advisable to use the pavement on the opposite side of the road. Health and safety around the hotel is poor at best and very inaccessible for wheelchair users or those with sight issues. None of the problems noted are the fault of the hotel which remains really good.

Hotel is okay, but very very noisy at night and day too. faces a very busy street. After a long day, this hotel is not a ideal location. Breakfast was also average. It has 4 star rating- but does not have the feel or the look of that rating. You pay extra for that rating.
