This hostal is a gem. It's spotlessly clean, nicely decorated with rustic furniture and the staff are cheerful and welcoming. Included in the price of the room are tokens for the coffee machine and biscuits for breakfast. The location is good, between the old and new parts of Cuenca. To get to the old town you'll need to walk up...

From the outside, the 'hostal' in the title made me think 'backpacker', but once inside, another world. Very friendly staff, full of old spanish furniture, clean, tidy, well equipped. Our room overlooked the river and the road, but wasn't noisy, and was comfortable. We were surprised to find a hot drink and a croissant provided in the sitting room for...

We felt very lucky to find this little hotel so close to what you want to see in Cuenca. Walking distance from 'las Casas colgadas' and the Cathedral, Castle and various restaurants. The staff is very friendly and serviceable! Even though they don't offer breakfast they include coffee and pastry. Yes, we recommend it!

My girlfriend and I spent a fantastic weekend in Cuenca, and this hostel added the little extras that make your stay in a town fantastic, not just very good. We greeted with a warm welcome and smile from the receptionist whose warmth was infectious. We immediately felt at home. Our room was very clean, spacious, and with excellent views of...

For visitors to Cuenca, the Hostal Posada Huecar is an inexpensive option. Whereas the most salubrious and expensive accommodation is to be found in the old part of the city, high up on the ridge with difficult vehicular access, the Hostal Posada Huecar is on the road, down by the river yet only a short walk and climb up to...

Myself and a friend stayed in this cute hostel which is well located, clean and cosy. Yolanda and the other staff were very friendly and helpful in suggesting places to eat and things to do and see. Was a pleasure.

We stayed one night for only 36€ in this charming hostel. Our room was very nice, it had a big bathtub and a terrace with a view on the river. The hostel is ideally situated between the old and new city. An dmost of all, the manager Yolanda was adorable and always available for advice, help and extra covers!

Stayed in October and emailed ahead. On Arrival my request was missing , however, I don't speak Spanish and English is limited at this Hostal,so I can't complain. Anyway, they found us a twin room facing the river and it was VERY clean and reasonable. The decor of really lovely. The downstairs lounge/internet room has a major petrol smell as...

we arrived in Cuenca at 8 pm on our way to Barcelona from Madrid, without any reservations for lodging that night. We stopped at a few other hostales to check availability and this one gave us the nicest room for 3 for the best (not cheapest) price. The location is good, close to parking for our rental (we were paranoid...

Interesting position near casa colgadas, parking near the posada with an agreement for a special price. Breakfast not available but you can go to Ruiz, to take some cake, orange juice and a coffee. The worst things I found has been: smell of kerosene in the room, room very warm (during the njght the windows has been opened, but being...
