For $39, you get a room, free breakfast, what more could you ask for. Sure the bathroom had some broken hardware, the hallways were dimly lit, the bed spread was outdated, but the bed was comfortable, the water was warm in the shower, that's really all I needed. The view from our little balcony of the Danube was great. For... More

The hotel looks very nice for its 3 star rating, large room with large bathroom, clean and comfortable. The premise is nice, with a lovely terrace on the Danube bank. The staff was friendly and they did not mind serving us breakfast, well after the breakfast hours passed.

Looking for accommodation in Calărași for a group of 30+ people is not easy: out of the 4 hotels and one B&B that were large enough, only two were acceptable and responsive. We selected Hotel Baden because it was cheaper, quieter and close to the ferry to Silistra, as we were planning for a night tour in Bulgaria. The hotel... More

The hotel looks much better than his 3 stars. Very clean, new furniture, arranged with good taste. The room was big enough, with a very comfy bed snd a balcony with a view over Danube. Breakfast was good. Tge price for the room is great value for money. Around 40 euro/night. We ate at the hotel restaurant. Good dinner but... More

The best hotel money can buy in the area. Clean, friendly staff, nice view to the Danube. Not much to do around, but its a good start base for a one or two days trip to town of Silistra, in Bulgaria, a 10 min foot walk after you cross the Danube with the ferry. If you cross by car you... More

First time when I went to Baden Hotel in Calarasi I expected not much given the price 35 euros. We've chosen it because of the convenient location near the ferry, as we were travelling at night when the ferry stops crossing the river. Brilliant points: location, flexible with check in time, clean and spacey rooms. The restaurant is also brilliant... More

Baden Hotel in Calarasi has a fantastic location on the border of the Danube in South-East Romania. From the terrace you can see two ferries, one to Bulgaria and the other one into the direction of Constanta. The signposting from Calarasi could be improved although it's easy if you know that it's close to the ferries. The personnel at the... More

“All rooms have a view on the Danube”

“Four tips for a perfect stay at Baden hotel. Read them until the end! 1. Since it is on the bank of the Danube I preferred to have a better view at the third level, the last one. Beware, there is no elevator! 2. Choose a room in the left side of the hotel since to the river view is better from that side. You also can see the ferry from that side. 3. The left side is to the East and the right side is to the West. You would prefer the East side in the hottest Summer days. 4. Do not go to the opposite restaurant, Monica whatever, even if you see its crowded. The prices are similar but the Baden terrace and food is far better.”
