We stayed in The Byre for a week self catering. Our wonderful hosts left us a lovely welcome pack of locally sourced product. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and attractive, everything you needed was supplied, we particularly liked the log fire, very cosy on a chilly evening in May. Wonderful walks in the area. The farm is open to the...

Gotta say I have always wanted to go here but never have. I have been missing out. It is wonderful, from the trip around the farm to go feed the animals to been able to ride a unicorn ( the ponies have had there manes coloured) to the wonderful farm cafe. The farmer and the farmers wife are great as...

I'm so pleased you had a good visit and hope you will be back over the summer - our 'unicorns' seem quite a hit! As you say we also have lots of different types of accommodation so do come and try that out for a weekend too.

We have just spent a week staying in The Byre at this farm. This is self catering accommodation but the farm also does bed and breakfast and has a couple of wooden wigwams. The farm is very well situated in beautiful country, near the west coast and within easy reach of Peel with its harbour and castle and a variety...

I took my grand daughter, its was the most superb afternoon out, bottle feeding meg lambs, feeding Tamworths and poultry, never seen a 'running duck' before and boy oh boy do they run. To finish all the fun the cafe with home made goodies and the farm shop stocked with Knockaloe pork, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I...

Thank you for your kind comments, I am so pleased you enjoyed your visit and the Cafe and shop afterwards. We are a bit OCD about hand washing, thank you for pointing it out. I hope your grand daughter had a chance for a pony ride when she was here? Also that we see you again over the summer, any...

I stayed at Knockaloe Beg Farm just a few weeks ago (in March) as a single traveler. Fiona was very responsive via email and I looked forward to a great stay. Upon my arrival at Knockaloe I was not disappointed. The farm/B&B were a quintessential farm stay. The location just outside of Peel was perfect and not too remote. Peel...

We spent a wonderful weekend at Knockaloe Beg Farmhouse in 2016, and it couldn't have been nicer. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The rooms are beautiful, and it was such a delight to go out and see the animals in the farm. Highly recommended.

We loved staying at the Byre in Apr 2016. As a family of four, with two children aged 3 and 5, there was plenty to do and very comfortable accommodation to stay in. The hosts were lovely and helpful, getting us some plastic cups for the kids to use, things like that. We enjoyed the open farm on the Saturday...

We stayed on a B&B basis. (Self catering and glamping options are available.) LOCATION - The location is quiet and peaceful with front of the house facing east looking over farm land and the hills in the distance. ROOM - In advance, we were given the option of double bed or twin bed configuration. Beds were a bit on the...

Thank you for taking the time to give us a review and for your helpful comments. When we built the house, the biggest thing we did wrong (maybe our Architect should have noticed this, as it was our first building project!) was in the sound deadening between floors for which I can only apologise. We have done our best with...

We spent four nights at the farm for bed and breakfast and had possibly the best nights sleep ever. The bed was big and comfortable with pillows that matched my favourite at home. The silence during the night was amazing and we were woken by the cockerel crowing and the sheep baaing. Lovely peaceful views from the window including the...

John the farmer was very friendly. Took us for a trailer ride to feed the pigs and was very informative, answered all our questions! The boar was a beast! Calfs and goats where funny eating my shorts!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Knockaloe Beg Farm was rebuilt in 2007 as a modern, energy efficient building with a traditional feel. It has 5 en-suite double or twin bedrooms and a lovely private guest lounge with wood burning stove. It is part of our working farm where we milk 200 cows and breed from 800 ewes so lambing time is very busy and exciting! Our bedrooms all have really comfy, super king sized, zip and link beds with goose down duvets and large showers or baths. Breakfasts have gained a 'Breakfast Award' for being high quality as well as local, homemade, fairtrade or organic. We pride ourselves on our environmental awareness. The house is up a private farm lane so is very quiet with stunning views across open countryside and only a 20 minute walk to the sea. ... more   less
