Had a brilliant afternoon at this place with my daughter and grandson. Farmer John takes you around the farm in the trailer, stopping at each pen and telling you all about the animals and rare breed pigs/piglets etc. You can get off the trailer and go into some of the pens too. There is a barn with animals in that... More

I'm really glad you enjoyed your stay, we enjoyed having you here. Good timing arriving at the same time as all our new arrivals - sorry I had to abandon the breakfast table one day!! Animals seem to have no awareness of meal times... I would be interested to know what you would have termed 'good value' as we are... More

I and my friend stayed in Knockaloe beg farm for three days. Our stay was wonderful. Fiona and her husband who owned the place were friendly and helpful. Free port wine and cheese was given after dinner which made our stay special. Breakfast was included in the price and was all worth it.

We went to the open farm which is open on a Friday and Saturday 1 - 6pm during March - October. We all had a great time and the highlight was definitely holding and feeding the baby meg lambs - they were really cute ! Even Mum very much enjoyed her first experience of bottle feeding a baby lamb. Staff... More

Perfectly located, this is the most interesting farm stay we've ever enjoyed and the warmest hospitality we've ever experienced! There are wonderful walks from the farm - up to the tower on the top of Corrins Hill or down to Peel Castle or along the coast path to Glen Maye - with fantastic views in all directions. This was our first visit to The Isle of Man, and Knockaloe Beg Farm is in one of the most attractive parts of the Island. Fiona and John are hard-working, attentive hosts, and we felt very welcome – nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts are varied and excellent (Fiona’s home-made sausages are very tasty). The room was spotless, warm... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Knockaloe Beg Farm was rebuilt in 2007 as a modern, energy efficient building with a traditional feel. It has 5 en-suite double or twin bedrooms and a lovely private guest lounge with wood burning stove. It is part of our working farm where we milk 200 cows and breed from 800 ewes so lambing time is very busy and exciting! Our bedrooms all have really comfy, super king sized, zip and link beds with goose down duvets and large showers or baths. Breakfasts have gained a 'Breakfast Award' for being high quality as well as local, homemade, fairtrade or organic. We pride ourselves on our environmental awareness. The house is up a private farm lane so is very quiet with stunning views across open countryside and only a 20 minute walk to the sea. ... more   less
