For our 2016 road trip to the east coast we decided to stay in as many B&Bs as possible. The Abbey was the 1st one on our list and turned out to be a very positive point of reference for all the other B&Bs we stayed in. While the outside of the building is in need of some TLC, no...

This is one of the most fantastic finds for a bed and breakfast that we have stayed at. The charm and character of the home along with the hospitality of the hosts were AMAZING!! The breakfast was very filling. We enjoyed listening to the stories of the history of the Abbey and hearing about the renovation process since they took...

We were looking for a B&B in the are of Cornwall, Lancaster, Alexandria area where we were coming to do some sightseeing and cycling. We finally decided to try the Abbey Inn. Located a little out of the way in Glen Nevis. What a lovely surprise it was. A former convent and residential school among other things. 101 years old....

My son and daughter in law were getting married in Lancaster. Although the drive back to Montreal after the reception would have been relatively short for my wife and I we decided to see what accommodations were available locally. We stumbled upon the Abbey Inn. It looked interesting - a 100 year old converted -surprise surprise - Abbey) so we...

Perfect choice for those who want country setting. Charming hosts. Our only regret was not staying 2 nights to delve more into history and just perhaps, listen to our hosts play the piano (we never did). Thanks to Bruce and Bill.

My wife and I needed to find a place near Alexandria, and the choices are very limited in the area. At first we were a little hesitant, because the price seemed so cheap. But we were very happy with our choice! The place is an amazing old building with new modern rooms (albeit a little small), very clean, well maintained,...

To find the Abbey is not hard but it is in a place that you will enjoy if you prefer quiet. What a neat stay. We lounged in one of the oppulent living rooms for most of the eve. The rooms are a tad crammed for a lrg person (like me) but the beds most comfortable. Breakfast was perfect and...

We were at the Abbey Inn this past weekend to celebrate my Father-in-laws 80th birthday with the family. We rented the whole facility and it was perfect. The classical architecture mixed with the modern art was lovely. Each room was perfect and fit our needs perfectly. I am somewhat disabled and they had facilities that met my every need from...
