We loved this hotel and the staff who went out of their way in their treatment of the guests and their helpfulness. Our rooms were lovely, the location is excellent and the parking was painless. I would always use this hotel for any future stays in Ronda.

We enjoyed our stay in Ronda. The San Gabriel is lovely and was once the owners family home. Our bedroom was comfortable and fairly large and there was lots of room in the residents lounge. We paid for the buffet breakfast which was fine. You do need to book a time slot as their breakfast room is small. They don't...

The hotel is in a good location and historical building itself (we loved it!). But the service cannot be worse. They offered to visit local wineries when we checkin which we asked for making a reservation few hours later. The man in the concierge did not even want to make a single phone call to the winery but just moaned...

Unfortunately I have to give one point less for my review as the room we had was on the ground floor and you could hear everything. people passing on the road and chatting, or people talking at reception. Very disappointed about, expecially because I booked the room long before. They offered as the second day breakfast to excuse of the...

This hotel is over the famous bridge in the oldest part of the town.An old and very quaint property that has been converted into a hotel. a very attractive stair case but they also have a lift. Our room number 10 was on the first floor, extremely spacious with an old fashioned screen seperating the bedroom from the TV and...

Fantastic location. Rooms clean and warm. We actually had heat and it was very cold in March. Large bathrooms and our rooms were on the ground floor. Staff helpful and knowledgeable. Made great suggestion for dinner. Breakfast was OK but not exceptional. Clan and presented well.

Not often you find a gem like this (rooms 1 to 3 are ground floor) built in 1736 this place takes you back in time to when thing where real and not made of chip board and chewing gum . If you bring a DVD they have a fantastic 5 seater little cinema room with old cinema seats , a...

This was a lovely hotel stop. Professional service start to finish. Highly recommended. I'll go again. It's centrally located in the heart of the old town, and is a tastefully restored large residence converted into a boutique hotel.

We stayed here two nights while on a tour of the region. The location is perfect- in the small old Moorish section a few streets up from the through road and tourist track. Inside, the decor is dark wood, Spanish art, books, antiques. Our room was simple but of good size and appointment. THe host was helpful with making local...

We had the most wonderful stay at Hotel San Gabriel. We had reservations for one night but were lucky enough to extend our stay another night. The hotel was beautiful in a historic building convenient to the sites. Restaurants and shopping were in easy walking distance. I look forward to returning to this beautiful place.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This carefully restored building dates from the 18th century and lies in the most historic district of Ronda, surrounded by ancient monuments.Retaining much of its original charm, the San Gabriel still displays an attractive stone façade and the coat of arms of one of its former owners. Spend a quiet moment in the library corner or in the typically Andalusian courtyard, full of plants and a trickling fountain. Here you can start the day with the hotel’s delicious breakfast. You can also enjoy a film in the intimate cinema room, which includes red velvet seats taken from the city’s old cinema. Combined with its privileged location, the hotel facilities make this a truly authentic Spanish setting for your holiday in rural Andalusia. ... more   less
