Highly recommended! Very oldie worldie. Car parking was included in our deal and is a short walk away. Enter Rhonda from the south is easier and you can leave the car outside the hotel while you check in and then park it. We booked the honeymoon suite and it was huge. When you open the suite door you are in...

We have been traveling all over Spain, and this is the nicest hotel we have stayed in so far, especially in our budget of 80-100 euros/night. The rooms are beautifully appointed and include thoughtful touches like a fuse box hidden behind a painting so as not to disturb the ambiance. Our room had a HUGE tub too, with a wedge-shaped...

A more delightful hotel would be hard to imagine. It is situated in the heart of the old town, yet discounted secure parking is only a couple of minutes’ walk away. (Bags can be dropped off at the hotel door prior to parking). From the entrance door onwards the building exudes an air of timeless class and elegance, restored in...

We stayed at Hotel San Gabriel for 2 nights on our vacation through Andalucia and were very pleased with the hotel. The hotel is located in a narrow side street in the Moorish quarter where we unloaded bags and were given good instructions to the off-site parking (included in our room rate). It was a short walk through quaint old...

Outstanding hotel, 3-4 minute walk from the gorge. Has pictures of Hemingway, Rick Steves and other visitors in the breakfast room. Advice: don't try to park outside the hotel, keep going another 150 meters to the parking area near St. Maria church and park in the lower lot (since the locals get to claim the upper on weekdays). Hotel will...

During our recent stay in Ronda we were fortunate enough to have selected the Hotel San Gabriel in the old section of town. The Hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to the various sites and walks/hikes that you may wish to take. Hotel San Gabriel is a stately older hotel located in a former residence where the feel...

A lovely old hotel with spacious rooms. The staff provides great hospitality. Some special little rooms here like a wine cellar, breakfast room, sitting room and cinema room. Right in the middle of the old quarter.

Very old hotel which smelt musty.Great staff, great position but strange room with the toilet the opposite side of the room to the bathroom.Overall disappointing .Unless you like old musty buildings go for something more modern

This hotel is one of the nicest hotels that we have ever lodged in. The small theater, breakfast nook, computer access were way above average. The décor was beautiful r reflecting Spanish history, photos of traveler, celebrities and exquisite artwork. The staff are all absolutely delightful and accommodating. If visiting Ronda, this is the hotel to lodge in best location...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This carefully restored building dates from the 18th century and lies in the most historic district of Ronda, surrounded by ancient monuments.Retaining much of its original charm, the San Gabriel still displays an attractive stone façade and the coat of arms of one of its former owners. Spend a quiet moment in the library corner or in the typically Andalusian courtyard, full of plants and a trickling fountain. Here you can start the day with the hotel’s delicious breakfast. You can also enjoy a film in the intimate cinema room, which includes red velvet seats taken from the city’s old cinema. Combined with its privileged location, the hotel facilities make this a truly authentic Spanish setting for your holiday in rural Andalusia. ... more   less
