We arrived at Cortijo de Las Piletas late in the afternoon and were greeted graciously by Elisenda, the owner, who was very helpful in giving us great information about the hiking in the area. We found our room to be very spacious and comfortable and the grounds are beautiful. It is a quiet and relaxing hotel in the country (...

We stayed here for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is 14 km outside of Ronda in the countryside with miles of excellent hiking and biking all around. Eli was an expert at recommending the best hikes, restaurants and sites to see in the area and loaned us a guide book for hiking trails. The hotel has...

We spent the first night of our cycling tour of the Pueblos Blancos at Hotel Cortijo Las Piletas, and it was our favorite hotel of the trip. The location is superb, with views of rolling hills filled with cork oak trees, the scent of lavender even in October, and the sounds of birdsong. The grounds include many places to sit...

My wife and I stayed for six days in September, and this lovely small hotel gave us a most wonderful, relaxing experience. Eli and Pablo have created a true oasis, and from Eli's warm and welcoming presence to Pablo's delicious dinners outside in the courtyard we felt utterly spoiled. Rarely is it possible to experience such relaxation in the modern...

Fabulous location with superb hotel management. Lovely location, no luxury. An old roman farmhouse. The Spanish surrounding is even better than a mix of Tuscany and Umbria. You will enjoy the natural expression of owners and environment.

Beautiful hotel for our first night of Andalusian trip. Great welcome and comfortable facilities. Nothing grand but simple tasty food and wine. Quiet clean room and well thought buffet for breakfast. Great advice for our onward journey into Ronda was proved right and saved us hassle. Eli is a great hostess. Couldn't fault this hotel on value and warmth.

Our second visit and I have no good excuse for the length of time which has elapsed since we were last there. It's truly wonderful. Little has changed in the interim, which is a huge compliment. Unlike our previous visit it was warm enough to sit outside for our meals this trip, which added to the romance of the place....

A rural farmhouse situated only 10-15 minutes from Ronda. With approximately 8 rooms this hotel is everything you could want in a rural retreat. Well maintained grounds and pool surrounded by golden fields, with vultures and even an eagle overhead. The evening meal provided is good value and delicious. The hosts, including their children are welcoming and have lots of...

We stopped here for a night and it was a perfect tranquil night. With birds in the trees in the morning, magnificent views nearby, smily and informative hostess, excellent breakfast with local products.

Cortijo de las Piletas is a country hotel located in the heart of Andalucia. Only 12km. from the picturesque town of Ronda, in the Natural Park of Grazalema, the Cortijo allows visitors to explore a great variety of natural environments, both on the property grounds as well as the surrounding areas. Our guests will enjoy vacationing in a centuries-old building, a magnificent example of an authentic Andalusian farmhouse converted into a family run country hotel. The varying greens of Mediterranean woods, the brilliant white of the walls and the clear blue of the sky, exude both peace and an unmistakable andalusian flavor.Beautiful patios and gardens surround the house offering cozy nooks for our guests to relax in harmony with nature. Centenarian trees and a variety of aromatic plants provide cool shade, colours and aromas while we take walks, swim or sunbathe. In the evening, in the gardens near the threshing floor, we can enjoy spectacular sunsets beyond Grazalema.
