Went to see the Northern Lights and was delighted we actually go to view them on our last night. Chena Hot Springs has lots to do but everyone needs to be aware it is somewhat pricey. The polls are great and relaxing as we went...More

We rented a car in Anchorage for the two weeks we were in Alaska. There are tours that will take you to Chena Hot Springs, however a car gives you the flexibility to stop and enjoy and photograph the beautiful scenery and wildlife as you want. The grounds at the Hot Springs are beautiful. The ice sculpture igloo is a must see, also the sled dog kennel. Time did not permit us a horseback ride through the area. It was a fun Alaska adventure.
