I arrived with low expectations and was very pleasantly surprised, the rooms whilst pretty basic have all you need, with fridge, internet, hairdryer, comfortable beds. Despite previous complaints I had no issues with hot water so long as you gave it a couple of minutes to heat up. It was great being right on the beach and very close to...

I was looking for a cheap place to stay near the airport for my last night in rio grande. Hotel la playa was perfect! The receptionist was incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and large, the beds were comfy, there were plenty of clean towels and shampoo and soap etc in the bathroom and the bathroom was large,...

Stayed here and enjoyed it very much. This hotel is near the water in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico. We had a handicap accessible room with a small refrigerator. The best part was the bed, which was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on! Our room was very near the bar/restaurant on the first floor & we never heard...

The location is great to everything. THe price was right! We stayed 8 days and got to know everyone. Everyone was awesome. We had our dinner celebration after our wedding Ceremony at PLayita. Juan & Cynthia were awesome! The only downfall was parking, parking if you can find it. Otherwise valet. We went 3 days without valet, but gave in....

We stayed here for one night before a cruise. Our room was clean but we were unable to have any natural light as our room had parked cars an arm's length away. There was a restaurant with a nice view, nicer in the evening. The buildings flush to the hotel were abandoned or in a stage of being repaired. We...

We had a 2 night stay in Feb 2015 with a confirmed reservation in hand thru booking.com.they said our reservation was cancelled. That never happened. They gave us a choice of 2 cheaper hotels down the street. Thank goodness I had reviewed them before deciding. They paid 10.00 for the taxi for the better hotel I chose. At least that...

First of all the rooms are small. They advertise 2 adults + 2 children, No way. Only one Quin bed. I went there with my wife and son and it was worst nights in my life. Quin bed is not capable to accommodate 2 adults and a kid unless adults are kid size. No free parking. Don't believe you can...

The reason why we loved this hotel was because it was within walking distance to everything- we walked to town everyday to eat at local restaurants and to catch the public bus for transportation around San Juan. In Isla Verde, we never felt endangered or unsafe at anytime as we were two women in our 20's. The hotel staff was...

I wanted to stay somewhere right off the beach. As young 20-somethings, we love the beach. :) Hotel La Playa is located in Isla Verde, with 2 beaches to choose from, and literally steps from your hotel. There are only 15 rooms! So, that was a consideration in staying there for the time we were there. You have all of...

Hotel La Playa is a small, independent hotel, which is well run by a friendly staff. While neither modern nor luxurious, it is clean, well maintained, and ideally located with a great ocean view from the restaurant deck and easy access to the beach.
