Stayed one night here before heading to a different hotel for 6 days. The location is nice… right on the beach. Majority of the courtyards I’ve stayed at are pretty updated. This one could use some work in the room. It’s a decent amount of space but a little run down. We hung in the bar and the drinks were strong. Casino was fun for the 5 minutes I was in there. I won $10 and left quickly 😆. Plenty of things to do on site. We did have the breakfast buffet which was $22. Not bad. Food was average. They were supposed to have someone making omelets but that person wasn’t there and the other eggs were terrible 😆 I will say my rate was much cheaper than the average person. No way would I pay $300-400 a night.

Best hotel ever! Great staff (especially Fernando working poolside). This resort has everything you could need: Pool bar, pool(nonheated and heated), hot tubs, a beach, restaurants, casino, and so much more. I highly recommend the stay here. Me and my husband will be back

If you're reading this, you're like me. I read reviews and try to make informed decisions. I read all of the Tripadvisor reviews and still booked here. Silly me. The only three things that prevented me from rating this hotel one star (TERRIBLE) would be the staff and the beautiful location. The staff were all very friendly, the food at the restaurant was tasty. and the views from the room were unmatched. I read reviews about the rooms being old and sort of dirty, but I wasn't prepared for this. I booked the Corner Suite, 1 Bedroom, Non Smoking with sofa bed, microwave, refrigerator. I figured at over $500 a night it would be a bit better than the other rooms that received bad reviews. I was WRONG. I stayed in room 827. The views from the rooms were STUNNING. The room was disgusting. Carpet was disgusting, the sofa and ESPECIALLY the pillows looked like they belonged in a horror movie. We were all covered in bed bug bites. This place should be ashamed of what conditions they place their guests in. I went to Marshalls in Old San Juan and purchased my own sheets and pillow cases. It did not help. I have never had to buy my own bedding to sleep at a HOTEL because I was so skeeved out. NEVER!!!! I left my slippers and the sheets there when I left - hoping they would burn them. There was noise from the airplanes taking off since the airport is literally next door, but that wasn't even bad. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU DON'T PLAN ON SLEEPING ON THE BEACH AND YOU NEED TO SLEEP IN THE ROOM....Go a few hotels down the beach and book there. I made a mistake, and I don't want you to make the same one. I'm expecting the same canned response from the hotel that I always see, but whatever. At this point, it is what it is.…

Good Afternoon 961kgw, First and foremost, Thank you for taking the time to share your comments through the Tripadvisor platform. We truly apologize that your stay was affected by Mother Nature. In Tropical Destinations there is always a possibility of being bitten by insects during your stay. For your peace of mind, Terminix which is one of the Marriott-approved pest control companies has certified that room 827 is bed bug-free. While in the Caribbean there's always the probability of being bitten by no-see-ums that are prevalent in the Caribbean, also commonly known as gnats, sand fleas, punkies, sandflies, or biting midges. These tiny biting insects are barely visible to the naked eye, however, their bites can be very disturbing. A bite of a sandfly is a sting. The effects can be felt several hours after being bitten, but are not harmful to human health. A small reddish or whitish welt, about the size of a freckle, is a sure sign you have been bitten. The good news is that they only come out during sunrise and sunset hours and their behavior is heavenly affected by temperature, humidity, wind speed, and even human scent. We visited this hotel in May and enjoyed every minute of our stay! The best part was the pool/bar. Both days we were served by Antonio and Elbin - extremely professional, respectful and fun. Antonio made us the best specialty drinks. I will be returning in the upcoming weeks and can only hope to see them again!

I unfortunately had an incident on the beach while I was staying at the Isla Verde resort and I cannot say enough about how caring and competent the staff was in helping my sisters help me get the care I needed. I especially appreciate the first aid skills and excellent leadership of Director of Security Sandra Santos. Everyone, from the front desk team, to housekeeping, to the wait staff (particularly Michael at the breakfast buffet), was kind and looking for ways to make my stay more comfortable. The hotel itself is lovely and immaculate; the location right on the beach is outstanding; the pool area is great; and the food is delicious. I highly recommend this resort hotel!!

Newly renovated rooms in a more modern style. They are still updating the hotel to make it more appealing to guests. Very clean and the staff are friendly. Easy on and off the I-91 highway. I would stay there again when visiting the area.

I have stayed at this hotel twice, and each time it has been a great experience. The beach, the food, the rooms are top notch! The views from the balcony rooms are gorgeous! The people who work here are so friendly and helpful! The is a huge pool and very large hot tub. I absolutely loved my stay here!

Finding the right wedding venue is the most import step in planning your wedding. After searching tirelessly for the right location for our destination wedding, we finally landed on Courtyard by Marriott in Isla Verde. It was the best decision we could possibly make. The location was perfect. Pricing and services offered was so much better than anything that we were finding from other venues. We immediately loved the place. This is before we were introduced to Amnel, catering director, for the Courtyard. Amnel was nothing short of amazing. We were planning our wedding from a distance so we really needed someone on the ground to pretty much hold our hand throughout the process. Amnel was attentive, responsive and extremely helpful. We could not have done this without him. Our wedding day went without a hitch. The location, food and catering staff were all amazing. Everyone at the wedding had such a great time and many of our guests kept mentioning how this was the best wedding they have ever been to. If you are planning to get married in Puerto Rico, look no farther. This is the perfect venue. We couldn’t be any happier. Thank you Amnel and the Courtyard staff for giving us our dream wedding. This place is not even close to worth the price. A double room for 4 of us is over $500. We stayed here on our way out from spring break, needing a layover between St. John and CO. Aside from the fact that the beach here is not comparable to any beaches in the VIs, we were completely underwhelmed by the service at this hotel. The beach service lacked as well as the restaurant service at the higher end “Sirena” restaurant. The server took one drink order out of four and walked away. The seafood is all frozen - server told us it is “ shrink wrapped”. The entree prices reflect expensive cuisine but the quality is sub-par. You are better off eating wraps and paninis from the adjacent restaurant, which uses the same kitchen. We spent one week traveling PR and one in the USVIs and this was our last night of vaca, laying over to get home. We should have spent the $ to get home early instead. …

The location is great and the staff are wonderful. It is apparent to seasoned travelers that there are limits to the experience that can be delivered due to the staff being stretched thin and good-not-great communication. The property has the potential to be a 5-star property with more adequate staffing and improved communication practices that would help guests to take full advantage of the property and it’s amenities. All that being said, we had a great time and would come back!
