Well, my other ‘answer’ didn’t post so I’ll try again. You will have NO problems visiting PR at all. The beaches and resorts ALL have plenty of generators to continue with operation. It’s more the outlying areas who are still struggling from the hurricane. The last time I was there, they had a TOTAL black out, but once we got through the STEAMING airport, everything was perfect! Enjoy your trip and the people, food, beauty, and history of Puerto Rico!

It is fairly easy to rent a car in Puerto Rico. Do it at the airport that way you can return it there too when you leave. I recommend car rental if going to explore the rest of the island, however parking in San Juan... More
It is fairly easy to rent a car in Puerto Rico. Do it at the airport that way you can return it there too when you leave. I recommend car rental if going to explore the rest of the island, however parking in San Juan specifically El Condado is not easy to find.
