What is so special about "Gamila Rocks Mountain Hotel" in Aristi, Zagoria villages, North Greece? Well, this hotel has a unique added value; I'll come to it later. The location is great, in the village center, near 2 restaurants and can be easily accessed all Zagoria's top attractions. The room is spacious, very clean, good storage space, and has all the needed utility, the bed is very large and super comfy with soft linens. It has a fridge with daily water supply and a safe. The bathroom has rain forest shower with very strong hot water pressure. The towels are thick and soft and the view from the room is great. The breakfast is rich with many varieties, eggs for order in many styles, different types of coffee, home made cakes and marmalades, and much more. Nice lobby with pleasant atmosphere, where you can relax after a long day. All the above can be found in many good hotels, but this hotel has a person called Vasilis. This hotel is run and managed by Vasilis and his lovely wife. Vasilis is always around, efficient, polite with a great smile, helping in parking, carrying luggage, explaining to every guest about the breakfast variety, and remembering the next morning that my wife asked for almond milk. You need advice about routes and attractions, Vasilis is there. Wherever you go in the hotel, you will see him. We've been in hundreds of hotels worldwide; this was really outstanding and made our vacation so great. I strongly recommend this hotel. Dr. Jacob Sagie, ISRAEL…
The hotel is situated in a very convenient and quiet position in Aristi, which is itself well positioned to tour the area of Zagorohoria. The hotel is well equipped, and has an excellent lift. The rooms are well furnished and modern, whilst retaining an older ambience. The staff are exceptional, and service is excellent. The scenery immediately surrounding the hotel is stunning. We only stayed for 2 nights, but wish that we were able to stay longer.
This wonderful inn is perfectly appointed with careful attention to even the smallest detail. The public areas and rooms are lovely and very comfortable, and there are many nice amenities. The food is delicious and abundant, and they will do your laundry at a very reasonable price. Most of all, the hospitality was warm, gracious and sincere. This is a perfect accommodation choice in this area.
Location: The hotel is situated in the village of Aristi and this is a great place to visit Vikos Gorge and the surroundings. You need at least two full days (3 nights) to discover the area. Within walking distance you will find the main square of Aristi with some charming restaurants. Check in: Feels like arriving with friends. Vasilis was waiting for us, helped us park the car and showed us our rooms. Very warm and welcoming feeling. Rooms: Cozy and clean rooms with comfortable beds and in the bathroom an excellent shower. Breakfast: Great breakfast with plenty of fresh made food. The pies were amazing. We were lucky to be able to eat outside on the balcony with great views of the mountains. Service: From early in the morning till late at night, Vasilis and his wife are busy giving a perfect service. Vasilis has so many tips for walks and things to discover in the surroundings. They also provide a shuttle service to visit Vikos Gorge for a very reasonable price. There are no taxis in the village. Vasilis did part of his studies in Belgium and speaks excellent English so very easy to communicate as well. Surroundings: We started our day in Thessaloniki and made a stop in Vergina, Metsovo and Lake Ioannina and we arrived in the late afternoon. On the second day we drove to Monodendri with our rental car and we walked the Vikos Gorge. After the walk, Vasilis picked us up, dropped our son and myself at the hotel, and drove my husband to Monodendri to pick up the car. On the third day, we drove to Agios Minas and we did the walk to Kleidonia's bridge. This walk took us 3 hours in stead of the 5 hours that are mentioned at the beginning of the walk. After the walk we drove to Megalo Papigo to have lunch there. We did not want to return to the hotel yet and drove to Vradeto. This drive will take you about 1.15 hours. There we did the walk to Beloi viewing point. This is certainly worth the walk and the views are amazing. We regret we did not have the time any more to walk the Vradeto stairs. On the way back to the hotel we made a stop at Kipi to view the bridges. In fact, you could easily spend an extra day in this area because our program was quit heavy but we are happy with all the things we ended up discovering. So we want to thank Vasilis and Stella for their hospitality and great service.…

An amazing expirience, great hospitality, extremely clean and comfortable. Great location, close to all attractions in the area. Highly recommended. The owner is very friendly and helpful. He instructed us where to go and best places to eat.
Gamila Rocks is a lovely little hotel with friendly staff and a great location. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and secure. There are some lovely traditional Greek restaurants in the village and plenty of fun activities to take part in while you are here. You will not regret booking a stay at this fantastic hotel.
........ The stay at the Gamila Rocks hotel was absolutely great! Very caring staff, with wonderful personality, very nice, and very inviting. We won't forget you and your amazing service Vassilis! .........
The hotel is warm and cosy and offered us more than we expected. The host Vassilis made us feel very welcomed and comfortable all the way. He helped us make the most of the time we had to spend in Zagori and we are very grateful for all. We felt like home, surrounded by a great landscape and friendly people. The area is an unique place where the time seems to have remained still and people are not touched by anything bad. It was the best experience and we cannot wait to repeat it!
