A 300-acre private island located just two miles off the coast of Antigua, Jumby Bay Island casts a spell of serene enchantment. A naturalist's haven that plays host to a variety of wildlife amidst the tropical foliage and pristine, white sand beaches, this all-inclusive hideaway is recognized world-wide as a private island resort paradise. With 40 luxurious resort rooms and suites, and a host of privately owned residences, Jumby Bay's exemplary hospitality is something that has long been lauded by the Caribbean's most discerning travelers.
A very unique experience in Antigua from the time they pick you with the ferry till you depart. A beautiful quiet island that is full of aqua activities all the suites have a small outdoor jacuzzi and every night they leave you a painted shell as a souvenir.
If you are going for business think twice this island is made for fun and sun. Going to the main land it’s only possible with a ferry that leave every hour but you can order one as well to suit your time so if you forget anything in the room you cannot go back quickly and get it. Definitely I will visit again with the family

I just returned from Jumby Bay in Antigua (former Rosewood property, now owned by Oetker same parent company as Eden Rock in St. Barths and Hotel du Cap Eden Roc in France) celebrating my husband’s 40th birthday and it has been one of the best service experiences I’ve ever experienced.
It’s on a private island, less than 10 minutes by a hotel provided boat from the airport (3.5 hour direct flight from JFK) where someone from the resort meets you at the airport and expedites the Customs and Immigration process. Everything is inclusive with multiple dining options and extremely high end I.e. Taittinger Champagne, all Casamigos varieties, rum/wine tastings, fitness classes, tennis clinics for both adults and children, water sports: water tubing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, snorkeling etc
The property is ideal for all ages, the kids club is complimentary ages 3-11 (as long as potty trained) and offer babysitting services at an additional charge, they also have a playground. They have 3 pools, 1 being adults only. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite with a plunge pool, they honestly think of everything as the doors leading to it are child proof (and if we’re being honest, Melissa proofed as well🤦🏼♀️🤣)
Set on 300 lush acres with 40 suites, 14 villas and 21 residences to rent (Oprah, Justin Bieber, Robert DeNiro and Lionel Messi have all rented.) I truly can’t recommend the property enough.

My husband and I just returned from our first trip to Jumby Bay. I was a little worried that we wouldn't receive the full experience due to Covid, but I was quickly reassured once we arrived and I can't imagine a more perfect trip! Masks, wipes and hand sanitizer were provided in our room and hand sanitizer stations were found around the property. All staff wore masks and I felt more safe on the island than my daily routine at home. The only Covid related issue we encountered was the beach being shutdown one afternoon due to a holiday. Even though we prefer the beach, it gave us a chance to check out the pool which we otherwise would not have visited. We also had a snorkeling trip scheduled for part of that afternoon and the resort offered to reschedule to another day without hesitation. The Jumby Bay beach was our favorite spot on the island. There is sea grass growing on parts of the ocean floor, which was a little disappointing at first, but the water is clear. If the grass bothers you, there are floats provided at each beach setup. Another reviewer mentioned the airport taking away from the experience of being on the island, but my husband and I did not feel the same. We loved spending every day on the beach and the sunsets were incredible! The food, drinks and snacks were all amazing. We did not have one mediocre meal and and I'm very particular when it comes to food. We ate at all the restaurants and attended White Night, Caribbean Night and Farm to Table Night. Even though I was originally hesitant about the Farm to Table evening, it was our favorite. We did not attend many other events offered, such as cooking classes or wine tastings, but we did take the Sunset Cruise and highly recommend! The staff is what makes this island truly special. Ashley helped me tremendously with planning our trip, answered several questions and made our meal reservations. Dariane and Colton were very informative upon arrival and throughout our stay. Akelia and Ishmael always greeted us at the Veranda for breakfast each morning and made sure our orders were perfect. Indi, Maureen, Giant and Omarie always made sure we had everything we needed at the beach. Sherard always made great suggestions at the Estate House for dinner and Jade', which served us each night at the Veranda Bar, made sure I got a special dessert before leaving. I highly suggest the soufflés at the Estate House - especially the chocolate soufflé! It was a wonderful experience and we can't wait to visit Jumby Bay again!

Beautiful Resort, but it ends there! This is the place for you if you would like to spend$$$$ for not much in value for your ROI😉 Front office staff is lovely bar the most senior manager who has short hair and was incredibly condescending towards me after I asked for a full refund just before dinner on day two of our stay… and I was in tears. -If you would like to have bird droppings in your outdoor bathtub and shower area, and on your terrace then JB if for you! -If you would like blue bottle caps in your entrance and terrace areas upon arrival then JB is for you! -If you would like to have many Blackbirds landing on your table and food for every breakfast at the only breakfast restaurant on property then JB is for you! -If you want to have literally NO Beach service for the first two days of your stay then JB is for you! We only had the most disingenuous service starting day three…after complaining?? -If you think it’s ok for employees to not say thank you for a tip given to them in hand personalized stationery then JB is for you! -If you would like to go to the worst West Indies buffet where the food is subpar and the band takes a break during a very short meal time period then JB is for you! -If you don’t mind listening to other guests’ music at the adult pool and having their children allowed to swim at the adult pool then JB is for you! -If you would like to complain to the property manager about your stay you may get a night’s compensation but she will only do so after AMEX was involved…so if you would like to experience “that” then JB is for you! Big time for you!

I hate writing reviews but after spending a fortune on this trip I feel obligated to do so in this instance. The food was certainly not of the greatest quality at least not what you would expect from an exclusive resort. The servers were friendly enough but seemed overworked and tired. The gift shop was overly priced and it felt like we were being exploited because we're rich. The gym was too small and there were no towels or water. Sauna was extremely filthy and moldy. The spa is a joke. The massage therapist appeared to have been stoned and spaced out. One of the receptionist's appearance and behavior was appalling. She was very unkempt with dried sandman in the corner of her eyes and some were even on her greasy cheek. I witnessed her shamelessly flirting with a male guest while I was getting my hair done. Poor fella was very uncomfortable and it also made me cringe. It felt like it was a pick up bar. Not to mention her trying to push products on me. It was so obvious she was trying to make a commission. The resort itself is very beautiful but the service was not worth the price tag.

We arrived at Jumby Bay and knew from the get-go something seemed off. Long wait at dock. We usually expect 20-30 minutes, but after an hour, we were getting antsy. Upon our arrival on the island, we were ready to start anew and enjoy the holiday. Our villa was not ready, so we headed to have a drink and were greeted by a lovely staff member. The staff at JB is still overall very accommodating and pleasant. We went to make dinner reservations to be told that our times were not available for any of the days we wanted. Ok, we pivoted and switched up. Tried to schedule massages, but nothing available on the days we wanted. We would be understanding of this, but we called in advance from US to schedule and were told to schedule once we arrived. We hoped to have dinner on the beach and someone was going to call us back about this, the call never came. We felt like the forgotten guests. The beach service was spotty throughout the week. Some days it was great, other days we saw staff in the early part of the day but they were mostly huddled at the bar. We walked up to the bar, which wasn't the biggest hardship, but in the past, wait staff roamed the beach. The beach is still beautiful. Our villa was fine, but once again....we had no turn down service half of the nights we were there. We missed the Jumby Bay when Rosewood managed it. In those days, we felt like the resort genuinely cared if we had a good visit, if things were to our liking and made sure simple requests were met. Other guests noticed the difference too as did a nice couple who are homeowners. They felt Oetker lacked the warmth of what draws people to the island. Additionally, for all the issues we had scheduling, the hotel wasn't terribly crowded. We heard about another hotel on the mainland that we will try in the fall. Jumby's prices jumped and the experience dropped. Simply not worth it.

Jumby Bay, a very high- end resort, has much to recommend it for the luxury traveler. Our Ocean Front room was beautifully decorated, with a sleek contemporary look, and big wonderful bathroom. It also had a large patio with comfortable lounge chairs and table. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. The polite and friendly staff was most accommodating to every request.
The beach is white sand and the water clear and calm for easy swimming. All day long beach servers walked up and down the beach offering delicious snacks and beverages. The swimming pool at the beach is lovely, but often was busy with children who were staying at the luxury homes on the island. A fun expedition is the free boat tour of the private homes around the island. The only negative at the resort to us is that when sitting on the beach, the view across the bay is of the airport. For us this very much took away that wonderful feeling we hoped for of being far away in a special location. We did not like the constant visual reminder that home and the real world were staring us in the face. For this reason-and this reason only, we will probably not return.

I live in Southeast Asia and regularly visit the best resorts in Southeast Asia. Jumby Bay is at the pinnacle of what’s possible in a resort. I’m so amazed and impressed by it. I just wish there were easier ways to travel between Asia and the Caribbean.
Jumby Bay is its own private island. The island is relatively large for a resort and takes around 20 minutes to bicycle around it.
All food and beverage is included in the room rental. The food is outstanding. Every meal I had at every restaurant at Jumby Bay was extraordinary. I came here with an intention to eat very healthy, and I was successfully able to do so at Jumby Bay, but I must admit the food was so sublime that it took a lot of willpower to not try everything.
This was a fitness and health restoration restaurant for me. The exercise classes such as Barre Body and Stretching were great, and the personal trainer was extraordinary. So I got in a lot of exercise while here. I am leaving Jumby Bay very revitalized and healthy.
The facilities are fantastic and extremely well maintained. Clearly, they pay attention to detail, even the smallest things. Everything works. There is no need to call maintenance about anything. I would say the standards are as higher or maybe higher than Four Seasons or St. Regis.
The resort is very fully staffed and there is someone looking after everything. The staff are extremely friendly, always introducing themselves by name and making an attempt to engage with the guests. It seems to me that many of the guests have formed personal friendships with the staff, which is not really something I see at resorts in Asia.
It was a great decision for me to choose Jumby Bay. I strongly recommend this resort and I certainly have the intention to return in the future.

We spent a few amazing days at Jumby Bay. What an incredible place!! There are great places to go on vacation and then there are simply great experiences….. Jumby is most certainly the latter. From the moment we stepped onto the dock in Antigua we knew we were in for something special. After 7 minutes (we timed it!) on the boat and by the time we were greeted at the dock by Rozanne & Ashley (with cocktails in hand and who were both so helpful throughout our stay), we had our flip flops already on and the stress level from life in NYC was already cut in half and it only got better from there.
We stayed in Pool suite with our two kids, and it was a perfect set up for our family. Given the island’s set up, the kids were able to get up when they wanted, hop on their bikes and ride around the island, visit the farm to visit the sheep, play on the beach or stop by the Veranda for breakfast. With no need to worry about room keys, cars or strangers on the island not only did the whole experience allow us to relax as parents but allowed the kids some independence. Jumby Bay quite simply redefines the term all inclusive.
And everyone is SO friendly! There were so many highlights and people we would like to thank to give this review some context, but we can’t remember all of them. Shawn and Alex who ran the all the watersports/snorkeling trip were brilliant. Shawn was so patient with our daughters during our snorkeling trip to make sure they saw everything and that they were comfortable in the water. We were also totally comfortable letting the kids go out on their own tubing and waterskiing during the day.
Many thanks to Patel and his team for a couple of stunning dinners at the Estate House. Not only was the food superb, service immaculate but the whole atmosphere gives such diversity to the culinary options at the resort.
Finally, a special mention to the whole crew at the beach bar - always ready to have a chat about sports, politics, life in general they were always welcoming and super friendly (the kind of guys who would probably remember your name and pick up the last conversation if you went back 12 months later!)
Obviously, we didn’t like Jumby much 😉 we honestly can’t think of a single experience we didn’t like.! We hope to come back very soon to this amazing island! It's worth every penny!

We just returned from a week vacation at Jumby Bay. We have traveled to most 4 and 5 star hotels in the Caribbean over the past 20 years. Jumby Bay was one of the last we wanted to visit. We have never been more disjointed in our experiences than this week.
We booked a beach suite, but we were given suite 38, which over looked a 5 foot cliff. No beach in site. When we called management, they told us they could “upgrade us” our last 2 days. A beach suite, is feet away from the beach. What we had was an ocean view room.
Beach service is horrible. We would see someone in the morning and never again. We would have to walk down to the bar for drinks on the beach.
We asked about using or renting a golf cart and we’re told $200 a day.
We asked for a late check out of 1 pm and we’re told no.
Room Tip:If you want a beach room, make them show you its location.

dining is essentially open air at all 4 of the dining options
no mask is needed
some wear a mask as a courtesy when in transit to table ......we didnt
the staff ( bless them ) are working hard and remain masked
everyone is double vaxxed
you will only be asked to wear a mask when you are in an enclosed area ( which will be very infrequent ) unless you live in the excellent resort shop !
There are more places to choose from in the Long Island area.
