The owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was great apart from the bedroom, there was not air con only a ceiling fan and it was stinking hot so we moved the mattress to the floor in the lounge under the air con. Pool was awesome. Generally we had a great stay and would go back if ever in...

Placid waters is a nice horse shoe shaped motel with a lot of room for improvement. However the problem with Placid waters are all the laminated signs telling you what you can't do. Things like "not allowed to change the air con temp" or "do all the washing up and take your rubbish to the big bin outside" makes the...

What a great place to stay. The rooms were clean and well kept. It was a great place to have a reunion and the family that run it made us feel very welcome. I would recommend these holiday apartments to all my friends and family and have already done so.

From the start of signing in to when we checked out the place was great. The only down side is the fact you have to tackle the stairs. We were given the top floor apartment with views but there 6 flights o stairs to...

Although I have been staying (on my own) at Placid Waters while on business and it has suited me perfectly, I think the real value of this venue is for families. The apartments are spacious and the verandas are a lovely place to while away your time looking at the water across the park. Do not expect 5 star but...

We stayed here for 10 days and really enjoyed the facilities at the holiday apartment and the lovely location. The unit was spacious with two large double rooms, big lounge, big bathroom and all the facilities you could want in the laud rey and kitchen. The unit is more like a small house. Pool and garden was well kept and...

We stayed in a top floor 2 bedroom unit with A/C in the main bedroom and the lounge room.Directly opposite the Seaside Museum, parklands and views over the Pumice stone passage. The only downfall was these units don't have lifts and it became tiring walking up and down to the 3rd floor ,other than that it was quite comfortable, bit hot on top...

Pity about the rules. They are everywhere you look - a myriad of signs in stairwells, in the units, outside the units, around the pool, in the car park - all telling you what you can't do and how much you will be charged if you break the rules. No "Welcome, we're glad you are here, have a great time"...
