I have just stayed for three nights at The Firs Farmhouse. This is absolutely old English charm at it's very best. A wonderfully restored 500 years old building filled with the most comfortable furniture and every possible amenity to make your relaxed stay a most memorable one. The proprietors Jean and John Richardson extended the warmest welcome and served the...

I would recommend this lovely restored home to anyone traveling in the Suffolk area. It was such a relaxing, friendly, comfortable home and atmosphere and I can't say enough about the wonderful breakfast. We were made to feel very welcome and would definitely stay there again! I stayed at the Firs Farmhouse while working near by. The welcome was warm and friendly. The Bedroom was extremely comfortable and clean. The Breakfast was the best I have had at any hotel by a mile. If you are in the area and need a bed and breakfast look know further. Andrew Taylor c/o W H Peacocks.

Absolutely superb. Mr. and Mrs. Richardson are the nicest and most welcoming people you could ever meet. The breakfast would put a 5 star hotel to shame. The sausages are locally made and delicious, eggs from their own chickens....etc. The attention to detail with regard to the amenities is second to none! Highly recommended. I'll be back.

I stayed at the Firs Farmhouse B&B while attending a weekend course in Suffolk. I found the farm house warm, comfortable & very homely. The owners were ever so friendly, kind and helpful. On our arrival they brought us tea & home made cake in the drawing room which was such a lovely welcome and the breakfasts were great too,...

Having searched the internet for the perfect location away from it all...we found it! The ambience created at Firs Farmhouse just made us feel at home. In the heart of the beautiful countryside miles from the 'rat race' is this perfect haven. The owners have created a retreat which 'oozes' a blend of sheer class and tranquility based on personal...

This was my first visit to the Firs, what an amazing place, the accomodation was excellent, so was the food and the hospitality of the owners, wonderful people. The decor has been amazingly restored to its original features. From the moment you enter to the time you exit, it is a wonderful, peaceful feeling, with food that is well presented,...

I simply can't fault this B&B. The beautiful renovated farm house is set in the equally beautiful Suffolk countryside. It's secluded enough to feel you're away from the hussle and bussle of everyday life but close enough to nearby Framlingham for shops and great places to eat. The owners, John and Jean make you feel incredibly welcome and make a...

“There are only two rooms! One is smaller, with a 4 poster bed and a separate large bathroom along a short corridor. The other is a larger room, with two windows and a smaller en-suite bathroom, with a conventional bed. Take your pick, they a both very pleasant.”
