I stayed here for one night when I went to visit Ostrog monastery. This is a very nice hotel with a great staff, and with truly breathtaking views from the terraces. I really enjoyed my stay, all of it. I was there on the last day of Wimbeldon when Serbian player Novak Djokovic won. I watched with the owners and staff and a couple of other guys and it was so fun! The woman who is owner with her husband, she is so sweet! I really felt welcomed and they really went out of their way to make me comfortable. I ate in the restaurant and watched the first half of the euro cup final, food was very good and I had some really nice wine recommended by the helpful server. I went back to my room for the second half, and also had a nice time watching in there. They have a screen on the sliding glass door so that you can leave the door open to breathe the clean mountain air without fear of getting eaten by mosquitos. Breakfast is also very good, they give you fresh raspberry juice and the cappucino was PERFECT.. and I am really picky. Lots of things to choose from on the breakfast menu. I would return there in a minute and I would love to go when some of the famous storms of Montenegro come.. sit by the window with a glass of wine, and watch nature. It got a bit noisy in the morning when people were leaving their rooms, so if you are a light sleeper maybe ask for a quieter room (I had #1) but for one night, I could deal with it.

As they say, difficult roads often leads to beautiful destination! It was true for this case. The hotel location is absolutely gorgeous! The view is breathtaking.
The room was spacious. The room had a mosquito net by the door to prevent insects from coming inside. We kept our net on since we checked in and yet had insects in the room by night. We stayed one night, so didn't bother to change the room. The staff were sweet.
However the breakfast was utterly disappointing! The cappuccino was decent. There was some choices of breakfast. We tried 2 different one and they were both very oily and kinda tasteless. There was no fruits/ yoghurt in the choices, which is pretty sad for such hotel.
Location is great, however they could really improve their menu.

This is a small hotel, about ten rooms , which is located in an excellent location and view on the side of the mountain. The room was nice and big enough, for one night it is very good. The stuff is very polite and speaks very good English. The breakfast was part of the deal was very good but one thing I did not like and it's very unique to this hotel and I didn't see any other hotel in the world I visited and I travel a lot . I got a coffee with the food I ordered, then I asked for an additional coffee, and they charged me 1.25 € ! Really?.

Excellent hotel with a very nice restaurant.  Best place yet in the Balkans!

Hotel Sokoline is spotlessly clean and the service is friendly & hospitable.  Without a doubt one of the nicest and most pleasant places we have stayed in on this trip.  There is a breathtaking view of the valley from each of the rooms, all of which have their own private balcony.  The restaurant is excellent, and features tasty local cheeses and cured meats sourced from local farms.  Staff is sincere, welcoming and goes out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. I give Hotel Sokoline the highest recommendation, and same for its restaurant.

This hotel is ideally located for those making the trip to visit the Ostrog Monastery, or just breaking up a drive across Montenegro. It's easy to drive to, and there is ample free parking. The drive from the hotel to the monastery is only about 10 minutes, including the narrow winding road to the parking area at the Monastery! The hotel is far from any other town/attraction but this is not a concern given the monastery is the main sight to see here.
The room had amazing views over the valley below with stunning sunset behind the ridge on the other side. The terrace was nice, however in the morning we discovered a cat had urinated on the chairs overnight.
The bed is very hard, which was the principle reason we did not rate it higher. There is no kettle in the room, but there is a fridge.
The restaurant here is very good! We ate a great meal with some very good recommendations from the staff on traditional Montenegran food. Breakfast was equally good, and was included in the room rate.
We would definitely choose to stay here again if returning to this area of Montenegro.

Quite possibly the most stunning view from any hotel room we’ve ever stayed in. We spent 2 days here as our initial destination on a trip around Montenegro and it was a wonderful first stop. Their website really doesn’t so them justice.
The drive from Dubrovnik airport to Hotel Sokoline took approximately 4 hours but the end result was more than worth it.
We used Google maps to navigate our way and it took us via the M6 and E762 and then onto a local road, but if you have the choice don ‘t approach the hotel from the north come from the south along the New Road from Danilovgrad. The road from the north is not for the faint hearted – being a mass of hairpin bends with no barriers between you, your car and the (stunning) thousand foot drop on your right. The road is just about wide enough for two cars but not necessarily their wing mirrors. Unless you’ve packed extra pants approach from the south!
We stayed in Room 8. It was well kept, clean and comfortable. It had its own private balcony and the view, as we said was stunning (see photos). Towels, toiletries and bottled water were provided as would be expected. Good car parking. Lower Ostrog monastery is 10 minutes down the road – free parking. We wouldn't recommend driving up to the higher monastery, walk it if you want to go there – it can be a busy road, especially given its size. The place does seems to be quieter in the afternoon.
The hotel is extremely remote – which is what we wanted. There is nowhere else to eat unless you want to drive for 15 – 20 mins. However, the food at the hotel was good and reasonably priced - <10 euros for a main course and good friendly service.
The staff were really lovely, very thoughtful and helpful. English was not a strength, but they tried and we found a way through !
If we get the opportunity, we’ll be back... approaching from the south or wearing parachutes!

Sokoline hotel is all about amazing staff, super tasty and delicious food, spectacular and outstanding views, and the most attractive is that it is 2km away from Ostrog Monastery.
I liked everything about this hotel and could suggest all people if they want to visit Ostrog then this is the best hotel to choose.
The path is very narrow to the monastery so keep it simple to have a closer room to rest.
The staff, all of them are super friendly I liked all that this hotel offered to us. Moreover, we were at the Skader lake that is not too far and a lake that is a must see.
So, Sokoline hotel is definitely a must visit one!

Amazing hotel, with lovely kind caring staff.

A special thanks to Jovan and Ancor and all the waiters who made my stay so special.

Beautiful views from my room. Maybe a 30 mins brisk walk to the monastery, which is amazing.

Frèsh good, the pasta was delicious!

Would recommend to everyone!

The views are just incredible, the staff are so smiley and helpful & the food is delicious and reasonable. The rooms are immaculate and very tastefully decorated with plenty of storage and the balcony is huge with more epic views. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!
